Bucky and Bailey walked through the streets of Brooklyn, the brunette not mentioning once where they would be going. But, she didn't mind. Well, she did, but just enjoyed Bucky's presence.

"Buck, why are we at the gym?" She asked, "don't they close.. five minutes ago?" She continued, giggling at time.

Bucky nodded. "Yeah, but Jim gave me a key to get in so I can get some extra practice in." He said.

Bailey sighed. "So you brought me here to watch you train?" She asked, crossing her arms over her chest.

"What? No." He said, unlocking the door and going inside. "I'm going to teach you how to fight."

"Absolutely not." She said, trying to turn around and leave.

Bucky sighed, grabbing her arms and pulling her back. "Come on, you've gotta learn some sort of self defense. Running won't always work." He stated, pulling her with him to his gym locker. "Look, I'm just trying to avoid another attack."

Bailey shook her head, looking up at Bucky. She could see the pure concern he had for her.  "What makes you think I can't fight?" She asked.

"Your kidding me, right?" Bucky laughed, "bail, every day something happens and not once I'm have I seen you fight back."

"But-"

"No buts, we are doing this."

The two were in the gym for a lot longer than they thought. Three full hours of practicing and teaching.

"Ok Bailey, punch me as hard as you can." Bucky said, standing straight and giving her an easy target.

"Buck, I'm not going to punch you." She said, lowering her fists.

Bucky laughed. "Come on, you won't hurt me." He said, running his hand through his dampened hair. "Just one more punch and we can go, ok?"

Bailey nodded, raising his fists again and getting into the stance Bucky showed her. "If I hurt you, that's your fault." She mentioned before swinging.

The blondes fist lodged itself rigging into Bucky's abdomen, the boy only wincing a tiny bit. "Not too bad." He said, pushing his hair back again. "Now we can go."

Bailey smiled and waited for Bucky so they could leave, standing in front of the fan so she could cool down.

As they arrived back to baileys house, the blonde unlocked the front door and smiled at Bucky. "Thank you." She said to the brunette, "I had fun."

Bucky smiled. "Your my best friend, just think of it like we were just hanging out." He said, nudging her arm. "But I better get going, I was supposed to be babysitting my sisters."

"Bucky!" Bailey laughed, "your mother is going to freak when she finds out."

"But it was worth it." He said, looking into her green eyes.

The two stood there for a second, their eyes locked onto each others. Bailey could feel her stomach fluttering with butterflies as Bucky took a step closer to her.

Bailey could feel Bucky place his hand on her cheek, their faces becoming inches apart.

Then, as if the world stopped, Bucky gently leaned down and kissed her. Bailey smiled into the kiss as she returned the favor.

Their kiss became deeper, baileys hand making its way into Bucky's tangled hair. But, it couldn't last forever.

Both of them pulled away to catch their breaths, a smile forming on both of their faces. "I liked that." Bucky said, looking like a kid in the candy store.

Bailey smiled too, pulling Bucky closer for a hug. "I get it now." She mumbled into his shoulder.

"Get what?" Bucky asked, his arms wrapping around Bailey perfectly.

Bailey smirked. "Why every girl wants to go out on a date with you." She said.

Bucky let go of the hug and looked at her in shock. "What is that supposed to mean?" He asked, a small smile creeping its way onto his face.

"For the longest time, I never understood what a girl saw in you. For years, I just didn't get it. I always thought you were just a playboy, you have a date almost every night." She said, "but-"

Bucky's smile grew as he kissed her again, cutting off her words. "Why do you think I've gone on so many dates?" He asked her.

"Because-"

"Because the one person I liked, didn't like me back in the same way." He cut her off again, both of his hands holding her face. "Unless she does and just hasn't told me."

Baileys cheeks turned a rosy red, leaning her head into Bucky's hand. "I think she does." She said, "how could someone not like Bucky Barnes."

Bucky smiled, kissing her one last time. "Tomorrow night, we are going out. Think of it as a date if you want to." He said, turning away and walking off. "I'll pick you up!" He called out.

"I'll be here!" She called out to him, watching his smiley face walk away.

The blonde made her way inside her home, shutting and locking the door like usual.

It's a date. She thought to herself with a smile.
