Todd hadn't seen Mia in hours. She seemed to be gone.He gave up looking for her after three hours of searching, she probably knew this farm like the palm of her hand.

Exhausted, he walked up the porch steps.Sweat was beading his forehead, it was a cold and long afternoon, and he was in desperate need of a cold shower.

He went into the room that he and Mia were sharing. He hoped that he would find her there, but she wasn't there. It was a big disappointment.

He slowly stripped off his clothes. He couldn't take Mia out of his mind, he was so worried. What if she was hurt? What if she was attacked by a wild animal? The thought made Todd cringe, but she shrugged it off.She was going to be safe, she was strong enough.

The water calmed him down.

It was refreshing, and he needed to relax. All his stress went down the drain. He felt new, it was a shower he was in need of for a while. When you're always busy, you can't really relax and concentrate on the moment.

When he was done, he wrapped the towel around his lower body and didn't care about gelling his hair.He was surrounded by family, anyways.

He then opened the door and exited the bathroom. As he walked further into the room, he noticed that he wasn't alone. There was a woman in the room. She was taller than Mia, and her hair was definitely longer, and she didn't have as many curves as Mia did.

“Uh...excuse me, may I help you?" She turned around.Ah, Todd thought, it's Mia's cousin, Lauren.

“Oh."she gasped lightly, “I was hoping you were Mia.I'm sorry."

“It's fine."

She nodded her head slightly.Afterwards, she looked down at Todd's member. She did it in a style, but Todd noticed. He always did. Then, she smiled. She started walking towards Todd, not hesitating. She began circling him, looking into his eyes.

“Do you know where Mia is, Todd?" her voice was deepening slightly.Todd cleared his throat. He was getting really uncomfortable, she made him feel really cautious.“No, I don't."he said bluntly.

“Too bad."

She then stopped in front of him, and smirked.Todd didn't yet figure out the kind of game she was trying to play. She gave nothing away, yet she gave so much.

“What do you want, Lauren?"Todd asked. She took a step forward, and placed her hands on his shoulders. Her lips were inches away from his ear, and she purposely made her lips brush against his ear lobe.

“You."

Mia stared at the sunset, tears running down her face. She was frustrated, and she needed to let go of all the tension and the stress that life has been giving her.Crying would help, it always did.It gave some sort of inner peace.

She didn't mean to put it all on Todd, but when she saw Lauren it immediately changed her mind.It made her feel insecure. When she saw Todd with her, it felt as if it were a replica of the past.It reminded her of her suffering, and her days of endless tears.

She stood up, and dusted the sand off her jeans. She had been away for a couple of hours now, and she didn't want people looking for her.It would be a long walk. She was in the barn, where there used to be cows.Apparently her uncle sold all of them, but soon enough he'd replace the old ones.

She had good memories of this barn, memories of her and Lauren back then, when they were still friends. They were close, like meat and bone. They shared everything, but who knew they'd end up sharing the same men, too?

Mia chuckled at the thought.

Life and it's irony.

As she walked back, she began thinking of random things. Her mind was literally all over the place.Walking back, she realized that there was another car in the parking lot.She had never seen that car before, but she had seen it once...

No.

It couldn't be.

She began walking faster, praying internally and begging that she was wrong. She couldn't be right, she simply couldn't.Before she knew it she was charging up the steps, heart in her throat.

She stormed into the living room, and was shocked that the whole family was united, watching television. She scanned the crowd, desperately searching for that person.

All eyes were on her.

“Mia," she heard her aunt Charlotte say, someone is here to see you."

Then her eyes landed on that person.

She froze.
