Chapter Seven

“Ms Santiago?"

She turned to face the person and her heart caught on her throat.It was the mechanic.

“Hey."she greeted with a friendly smile.

“What a coincidence."he commented.She nodded in agreement.He was pleased by her reaction.If she only knew that he was following her.

“May I join you?"he asked and she nodded.

“Of course."

He sat down next to her and ordered a lemonade.She was silently concentrating on chewing her salad.

Scratch that.

She was person trying to concentrate on chewing her salad.She couldn't stop freaking out.He was so close.

Every time their legs rubbed passed each other,goosebumps formed on her skin.He was doing it on purpose.He loved seeing the way she reacted when he touched her.It turned him on.

“So...are you enjoying your salad."he asked with a light smirk.

“Yes,it's a pleasant meal."she smiled.

“Interesting woman love eating salads."he commented as he scanned the menu,not sparing her a glance.

The temperature rose in the room,it was so high she removed her coat,showing off her cleavage.

He stared at it for a moment,then he looked away.He didn't want to be caught staring,it would be too embarrassing for him.

“May I have your order?"the waitress asked with a dazzling smile.He looked up at her and smiled.

Mia noticed the way the waitress was looking at Todd,any woman would.Todd himself noticed.He was a man of looks,any woman would look at him with sinful eyes.

Mia shifted uncomfortably in her seat.Todd noticed it,but he didn't seem to bother,he wanted to make her jealous,that way she would realize that he can have any woman he pleases,and she would think twice before rejecting him.

“I'll have a double cheese burger with extra chips."he replied in his most sensual voice.

“And to drink?"the waitress asked in a purr.

“I'll have some whiskey."

The waitress walked away with a smirk plastered across her face.Todd smirked back at her and Mia noticed.

“I see she's interested in you."Mia as  as she took a sip of her wine.She couldn't hide the irritation in her tone.Todd noticed it.

“Yeah,but I don't really find interest in easy women.I prefer real women.Women that are hard to get."

Mia felt the urge to cough all the wine from her mouth.He always says the most sexy things at the wrong time.If it were in bed it would be a major turn on.

But,they aren't in bed,they're in a restaurant.A public area.They can't do that,he can't do that.

After a long while,the waitress brought his burger and his whiskey,and he thanked her with a wink.

Mia wanted to stand up and leave without giving him any explanation,but she knew better.

If she left,he would know that she felt uncomfortable,and she didn't want that.She wanted to act as natural as possible.

“I'm leaving."she announced as she stood up.He stopped eating and looked up at her.

“Why?"He asked.

“Because I have work-"

“It's a Saturday."

“Yeah but-"

“No buts,please join me."he said gesturing towards the chair she was sitting in.She couldn't refuse.She sat down without a single word.He felt satisfied.

He quickly finished his meal to walk her out the door.He offered to pay for her meal as we'll but she refused.She had always been an independent woman,she didn't need or want to depend on any man.

“Where are you going now?"he asked her as they walked to the parking area.

“Home.I have work to do."she answered.

“What do you do?"

“I'm a secretary at Sonny Enterprises."she answered rather proudly.

“Impressive."He said with a smirk.

“Thanks."

Their walk was silent after their short exchange of words.Mia wasn't a talkative person.She liked her privacy.

Todd on the other hand was a talker.He enjoyed the company of good people,especially the company of women.

“Well,this is it."she said as she unlocked her car.

“This was a very pleasant day.I hope we can do this again some dark."he honestly said.Mia gave him a nod and entered her car.

He watched her leave.He couldn't be more satisfied.Now he knows that he intrigues her,and he couldn't be happier.

Now,all he has to do is plan a strategy.A game strategy.
