Your POV
Unbelievable. Completely unbelievable. Why did having a crush have to be so hard?
"I'm sure it'll be fine. You just can't chicken out this time," reassured Leo. You just sighed and gave him a small smile.
"Leo. I appreciate the reassurance. But honestly, he can't take signals, and I'm just straight up awful at attempting to flirt," you sighed and slumped down farther into the couch. Leo chuckled and strung an arm around the back of the couch, turning to face you more.
"Maybe you should stop avoiding telling Donnie that you like him, and just go for it. I know my brother. He likes you too," he suggested. You groaned.
"But that's so hard," you whined. He laughed. You shot up as an idea popped into your head.
"Oh my god yea," you said out loud. Leo raised an eye ridge.
"Umm. What?" He said confused. You smirked at him.
"I just got an idea." You said. He looked at you with slight worry in his eyes. "I need you to help me," you said.
"Nope. Nuh uh. Not ever again. Last time I tried to help you, I ended up getting into trouble with Donnie, and-..." he stopped when you shuffled closer to him and gave him puppy dog eyes.
"Please Leo. I'll even buy you a new Space Heroes VHS," you bribed him and he perked up slightly.
"Really?" He asked suspiciously.
"Really," you nodded vigorously. He sighed.
"I'm going to regret this aren't I?" He asked. You just smirked.
"All I need you to do is just pretend to be my date." You said. He slammed his head forcefully against the back of the couch and covered his face.
"I was right. I'm gonna regret this."
The next day, you showed up to the lair with nice jeans and a blue top, your hair in a high ponytail and bounced into the dojo to see Leo. Donnie greeted you as you came in because usually you would immediately go to the lab to see him. You just said a simple hi before going to Leo. He chuckled when you came in.
"I can still feel Donnie staring at you from here." He chuckled. You giggled.
"All I said was hi. I kinda feel bad for ignoring him," you bit your lip. Leo just smirked.
"Too late now Y/n," he said and you two planned what you were going to do for the day to get Donnie to notice you.
"Hey Y/n," said Donnie as you and Leo came out of the dojo. "Want to see what I've been working on?" He asked.
"I'm actually gonna hang with Leo today." You waved him off and practically felt Donnies disappointment radiating across the room.
"Yeah. I'm gonna show her some new moves I've been working on. Maybe start on some small training," said Leo casually. You shuffled closer to Leo and he strung an arm around your shoulders. The look on Donnies face was so sad.
"Oh-... o-okay. I-... I'll just-... yeah," he scurried away to his lab and Leo gave you a side hug.
"I'm sure this will work eventually," he said when he noticed your face. You just leaned into his hug and sighed.
"I sure hope so."
When the next day came, you did the same thing. Skipped down to the lair wearing specifically blue, and into the dojo where all four of the turtles were training. Donnie caught your eye when you came in and waved. You just gave a half smile and went to where Leo and Raph were sparring on the other side of the dojo. Donnies brown eyes followed your every move until Mikey charged him again.
