To be honest, coming out and telling your family and friends about your relationship is so tiring. I mean, can't we just love without any regards from others? Sure, they're worried but hello? As long as we know what we're doing!
[Kayo na?!] Was the first initial response we got from Ruce when we called him through speaker. Nandito kami sa dining room ni Xenon. Kagabi ko lang siya sinagot.
"I answered him last night..."
[SO FAST!?]
Napangiwi si Xenon sa boses ni Ruce kaya natawa ako.
"He's listening, Ruce. You're intimidating him."
[Really?] He was silent for a bit before speaking again. [What's your plan now, Xenon? Ngayong sinagot ka na ni Flaire.]
"Make her happy po."
I gave him a teasing look because of his answer. He silently groan at my reaction.
The talk with Ruce lengthened for a bit. Kinalaunan ay pinabayaan na rin niya kami lalo panang dumating si Lolo. Everything went smooth. I even messaged Rave and told him that Xenon's my boyfriend now.
[TOTOO BA!?]
"Duh! Of course!"
[Xenon pre, ingat ka. Iyon lang ang masasabi ko.]
Xenon, who was listening, just laughed. I glared at him to signal that I wasn't happy that he agreed with Rave.
However, he just hugged me sa side ko and kissed my forehead.
"Shut up, Rave! I'll unfriend you!"
[Wow, scary!] Humalakhak silang dalawa ni Xenon at lalo akong inasar.
Damn it. Mukhang pagtutulungan pa ako ng dalawang ito pagdating sa pang-aasar.
Kanina, dumaan dito sina Tito at Tita. I guess they already knew we're together. Sa sobrang pulupot sa akin ni Xenon, hindi naman siguro sobrang halata. Tsk.
After teasing me, Rave ended the call. Patuloy kaming kumain ni Xenon nang maayos. I can't say na tahimik dahil kanina pa niya ako pinagtitripan. Ayaw akong bitawan!
"Are you a snake or what?" My patience was thinning.
"Come on, deserve ko 'to 'di ba?" He smiled cutely. Iniisip sigurong madadala ako sa ngiti niya.
I frowned. "Hindi ako uto-uto."
"Flaire, I thought you loved me? Why so mean?"
He even acted like a child and I frowned more. "Hindi ka cute. Stop that."
"Hmm? Kaya mo akong tiisin?"
"Damn, Xenon. Ang cringe mo."
He laughed so hard. Gustong-gusto na naiirita ako sa kaniya palagi.
"I like your attitude." He smiled.
"Dapat lang," Proud kong sabi.
The day went by like that. Xenon went to his school and I took my classes. I guess new sem na. Yeah.
Honestly, I don't care about getting high grades. Sabihin lang na pasado ako, ayos na. I get how people are pressured to be the very best but in all honesty, why do adults push us to do it?
What do we get with high grades? Success? Not a hundred percent sure with that but yes, let's say that we'll succeed in life.
But at what cost? Depression? Anxiety? What?
