Lover of the Blazing Sun

[Ikakasal ka na?!]

Sa lakas ng boses ni Rave, agad kong inilayo ang telepono sa tenga ko.

I just finished telling the whole story to him. Eto na siya ngayon.

"Rave! Can you calm down!?"

[Paano ako kakalma!? Hindi ako makapaniwala! Sigurado ka bang wala kang ginamit na masamang elemento sa pag-ibig na 'yan-]

"Rave! How can you say that? Mukhang siya pa nga yata ang gagamit sa akin no'n!" Argumento ko.

The call was on speaker so the sleeping Xenon beside me woke up. I was sitting on the bed with my back against the headboard.

We didn't technically sleep together. I was sleeping in my room when I woke up in the middle of the night dahil tumabi siya sa akin. He claimed that, "Flaire, I can't sleep. I wanna hug you. We won't do anything bad, I just wanna hold you so that I can sleep soundly."

How can I say no to those sweet words?

And here we are now.

"Rave... I'm pretty sure I'm more head over heels in this relationship compared to her." Xenon chuckled with his morning voice and hugged my reach to hug my waist.

I could hear Rave's exaggerated gasps of disgust kaya natawa ako lalo.

"But anyway, you'll come to our wedding, right?"

[Malamang! Kahit sa mars pa iyan.]

"Sige, don ka mag-isa." Asar ko.

['Di wow!]

"The wedding will happen here on the island so better be ready. I think next year pa. Right, Xenon?"

"Kapag 'di na tayo makapaghintay, let's move it to the coming months?"

"Ay wow, may options?"

"Syempre, dapat handa. Mahal kita, mahal mo ako, mamaya umiyak ka bigla na gusto mo ako agad pakasalan... kaya may backup plan ako."

"Sige, ikaw na ang pinakamagaling." Natatawa kong sabi.

I almost forgot na kausap pa namin sa phone si Rave.

[Oo sige, kunwari wala ako rito. Iba talaga hangin 'pag may naglalandian. Abot sa Maynila. Anyway, congrats love birds! May lover na ang blazing sun.] Rave laughed hysterically before ending the call.

Hindi tuloy ako nakabawi ng asar.

"Lover of the blazing sun, hmm?" Xenon hugged my waist tighter.

"Kapag ako inasar mo, huwag ka na papasok sa kwarto ko. What happened to principles, huh?"

"Hindi kita aasarin at wala naman tayo ginagawang masama. I just don't wanna be deprived of my girlfriend. Masama ba ang magmahal?"

"Ewan ko sa 'yo, nagda-drama ka na naman..." Inilingan ko siya and he pouted.

"I'm your lover, come on... Be nice..."

"But I'm still a blazing sun, 'di ba? 'Di ba?"

"But that makes you, you. And I love you more everyday."
