It was the next day alright. Maaga akong nagising because of Xenon. He literally called me early in the morning and served as an alarm clock. The most annoying alarm clock ever.

"Masyado ka bang excited?" I asked him on the phone.

Para kaming ewan. Magkatawag pa kahit na isang katok lang ang kwarto niya mula sa akin.

We were on video call. Busy akong mag-ayos ng maleta habang siya ay nakahiga sa kama at pinapanood ako. I placed my phone on the nightstand para hindi ko na kailangan galawin pa.

[Yeah. We'll be traveling together. I can't control my excitement.]

"Tapos ka na ba mag impake?"

[Yeah. It's better to bring lots of things, right? We never know what to expect. Mas mabuting handa. I'm not sure how long we'll stay there but if we enjoy it, we might extend it.]

I nodded at what he said. "Yeah. Yeah. But mine's enough for like 3 days. I just have so many necessities dahil hindi ako sanay na kulang ang gamit..." I gazed at my phone and saw him longingly watching me. "Are you listening?"

[Yep. Yep, I'm here.] Nilapit niya ang phone sa mukha. [I'll end the call. Punta ako d'yan. Open the door for me.]

"Fine..." I replied before standing up and walking towards the door when I heard his knocks.

"Hi!" He grinned.

"Nagpaalam ka na kayna Tita?" I asked Xenon the moment I opened the door.

He nodded. "I pleaded na huwag sabihin sa Lolo at kay Ruce na kasama ka. Baka kasi hindi ka na pabalikin dito." He laughed.

"If Ruce finds out, lagot ka."

He became pale for a second. "I hope not."

I shook my head at his reaction.

How did we come upon this mess? Nung una, sinabi ko lang naman 'to dahil gusto ko siyang pagtripan.

Hindi ko naman alam na madadamay ako sa trip ko! If only I knew, I would've told a simpler deal!

"Are you still sulking about the deal?" He casually asked habang nakasandal sa hamba ng pintuan ko.

Pinakita ko sa kaniya ang hawak na maleta. "What if ihampas ko sa 'yo 'to?"

"Sasaluhin ko. Baka lalo kang magalit kung masira maleta mo. Ako na po ang maga-adjust." Pabiro niyang sabi.

I frowned at him. "You think it's funny? Corny mo talaga."

He playfully sticks his tongue out. "Anyway, where will we stay in Manila?"

"First of all, we can't stay at our place. I can't stay in any of our properties. Hindi pwede malaman nina Lolo at Ruce na nandoon ako. And for such a stupid reason..." He laughed at what I said.

"Your fault." Asar niya. I rolled my eyes.

"But... We can just stay in a hotel."

"In 1 room?" His eyes widened.

"Yeah. Bakit? Ayaw mo ba?"

"I mean... It's fine if I won't tell my parents but the guilt would consume me. Hindi pa tayo kasal and even if we're boyfriend and girlfriend... People may think that we'll take advantage of it."

I was in awe of his explanation. Seriously. Him and his family's belief. "Well... Would we take advantage of it?"

"In all honesty, I will never. But since I'm with you, it's my weakness. Tsaka sa ating dalawa, Flaire, ikaw ang mas mataas ang tsansa na mag take advantage sa akin..."
