Wakas

Long and wavy red hair, dark eyes that looked too intimidating with a tint of red, and that soft-looking lips. Everything about her screams danger, stress, and chaos.

Her outfit obviously channels that she's not from here. This is the first time I saw someone... so daring.

She looked wild, burning in that red color that harmonized with her aura and personality so well.

That's Flaire Ruby Gresham.

I mean... You know, their perception is very... disappointing," Sambit ko. "Mga stereotypes na basura."

Si Papa ang sumagot sa aking tanong.

"She's going through something, I believe. Her Lolo wants her to stay here and in addition... to keep her safe. Magulo ang estado ng pamilya nila."

"Won't we be in danger too if that happens?" Tanong ko. Ayoko mapasama sa gulo ng ibang tao.

But that was when I know nothing...

"We can protect ourselves. And if we can, hindi naman masamang tumulong din sa iba, hindi ba, Xenon?"

I nodded at my Mom's answer. "Right... You have a point, Ma." But it still made me worried.

Sino ba ang babaeng iyon?

Mama smiled and tapped my head. Tumingkayad pa siya para lang maabot ako. Papa laughed behind her.

"You're all grown up, Xenon." She whispered with longingness. "Take care of the girl, okay? She'll need someone's help. Based on what we heard, she has a rough life. She's also very... stubborn. Just like you."

Napangiwi ako sa sinabi ni Mama. She's right that I'm stubborn but I'm still very, and take note, very nice.

Papa made his way and held Mama's waist. "That's enough, Gen... Iiyak ka na naman,"

"I'm just emotional, Rom."

"Are you pregnant?"

"No!"

"I mean, you know, we wouldn't want another sibling anymore. Apat na kami, Pa... And duh... Ang hirap mag-alaga ng kapatid,"

"I'm just kidding, son." Tumawa si Papa.

Ngumuso ako.

Mama lightly punched Papa's arm. "Shut up, Rom! I'm just getting old, okay? Ikaw talaga!

Papa was cursing because of the pain but all he could do was follow Mama.

I mean, he's down bad for her.

Damn. Love's scary.

He's been separated from the girl for how many years and yet he still can't move on like a lovesick fool. Ayon sa chismis ni Kuya Travis at Minique, Kuya Riguel might never even move on at all.
