It was almost 48 hours after Xenon's operation. Hindi ako umalis sa tabi niya kahit na maya't maya ay bumibisita ang mga kapatid niya at sina Tita Genesis kasama si Tito Rom.

From time to time, I'd wipe his face with a wet towel. He gets prepped up by some nurses in order to keep his body in good shape.

They changed his clothes as I guarded... Outside. Very closely.

Male nurses though... As per my request.

Ilang oras pa lang ang lumilipas pero pakiramdam ko, mas mahaba pa roon ang pinaghihintay ko para magising si Xenon.

"Gumising ka na, dali. Andami kong itatanong sa 'yo..." I whispered as I slept beside him.

Nakaunan ang ulo ko sa kama niya habang nakaupo sa upuan.

I drifted to a light nap after that. When I woke up, he was still sleeping. I felt my stomach grumbling. That's why I chose to leave him for a while and go to the canteen for food.

Mabilis lang akong bumaba. Medyo kaunti ang pila sa mga food stall kaya hindi naging problema ang paghihintay. When I got my food, I immediately went back to Xenon's room.

Bahagya ko pang inaayos ang lalagyan ng pagkain na inorder ko nang mapansin na medyo maraming tao sa labas ng kwarto ni Xenon.

His mom, dad, and brothers were there. Along with some doctors and nurses. Ang mga guards sa labas ay nagkalat.

My steps went faster towards them.

"A-Anong nangyayari?" I asked with wide eyes and fast heartbeats.

Si Tita Genesis ang sumalubong sa akin. "Calm down, calm down. Xenon just woke up, Flaire. They are checking up on him."

"Nothing bad happened?" I tried to get assurance.

Tita Genesis nodded and massaged both my arms until I finally settled my confusion and worry.

Ilang minuto pa ay lumabas na ang mga doctor at nurse na tumingin kay Xenon.

I observed there faces. Hindi ko mawari kung anong balita ang babanggitin nila sa amin. Is it good? Bad? Worse?

"He's stable."

Two words from the doctor and I felt my heart rise to its highest beat of happiness.

"We just checked his vitals and how he responded. So far, everything's fine. For now, he needs rest. No stress and he can't move much. It'll strain him and hinder the healing process."

I nodded in haste.

Hindi ako mapakali habang nakikinig sa doktor. Gusto ko nang pumasok sa kwarto. Gusto ko nang malapitan si Xenon.

He's awake! Finally awake!

I have a lot of things clouding my mind. I have a lot of questions that need to be answered.

But his health is my top priority.

All of it can wait.

Xenon can't. My heart... can't.

Sa oras na matapos na ang doktor sa mga paalala niya, Tita Genesis sensed how much I wanted to be with Xenon so she softly pushed me first, urging me to go.

I gave her a small smile before going in and closing the door.

Pagharap ko, natigilan ako.

As soon as I entered, the first thing that I saw was his eyes.
