ANNA STOOD IN FRONT OF A hideous gargoyle in the third floor of the castle. Apparently Dumbledore's office was behind it from sources she received.

"Er- Sherbet Lemon!"

And suddenly the gargoyle stood up and moved aside revealing a staircase. Anna cautiously began climbing them. Occasionally looking behind. The door closed and Anna was left with a horrible thought swirling in her head.

What if it wasn't the right door?

Climbing more steps Anna prayed the heavens that the stairs stop at Dumbledore's office and not some trap where she would be stuck for the next hundred years until someone discovers her bones.

She stopped in front of a huge oak door and knocked.

"Come in" A calm voice called.

Anna pushed the knob and stepped inside a circular office.

The room looked like it wasn't even a part of the castle. It was so bizarre Anna couldn't help moving in a circle to take in all of the view at once. The room was large and contained various armchairs, curious silver instruments that stood on spindle-legged tables, whirring and emitting little puffs of smoke. The walls were covered with the paintings of the old headmasters and headmistress, some snoozing gently and some eying her curiously. There was also an enormous, claw-footed desk and sitting on a shelf behind it, was a shabby, tainted wizard's hat- the Sorting hat. The same hat that has turned her life upside down last night.

"I am very pleased to see that my office has fascinated you Ms Rowly"

Anna jumped out of her skin and turned to her right. The initial shock had made her forget that she wasn't alone in the room.

Standing in front of a vast window was none other than Albus Dumbledore, the greatest wizard of all time. He eyed her kindly through his blue eyes which were hidden behind his half moon glasses. His enormous beard tucked neatly in his belt. He wore a violent shade of purple cloak with various stars decorated in it and a matching wizard's hat.
