DEAFENING SILENCE CASCADED upon the Great Hall as each and every head periodically snapped from the disbelieved Headmaster to the baffled raven haired unfortunate boy.
"Harry Potter!" Dumbledore called again.
Anna sat, her mouth hung open. But as no movement came from the messy haired boy, she took it upon herself to urge him. Partly because the longer he sat, the more impatient Dumbledore grew and also to convince herself that it wasn't a dream— or better, a nightmare.
"Harry." She hissed on his ear, staring at him with both exasperation and pity, "Go!"
Harry simply looked at her, his face completely blank but there was a hint of panic looming in his eyes.
Her expression softened, "It's okay, go." She squeezed his hand as he stumbled out of his seat.
All the eyes followed him as he walked to the front, McGonagall patted him on the shoulder as he walked past the teachers and also disappeared behind the door.
Almost instantly, a wave of murmurs shot across the Hall.
"Silence!" Dumbledore boomed, "We are seeing the matter. There shall be no discussion." Then he left with the other Professors with the teachers following after.
As soon as they were gone, the uproar grew again but louder this time. People didn't bother whispering and started their accusations openly.
"He's a cheat!"
"He's not even seventeen!"
"How did he get in?"
"How on earth.." Anna looked at Hermione whose face seemed just as ashen. She then looked at Ron and to her surprise, his face was stoic.
Some time later the teachers came back to quieten down the now roaring students and ushered them to their common rooms.
The trio followed the other Gryffindors back to the tower. Ron was basically hurtling away as Anna and Hermione struggled to catch up with him.
