ANNA HAD ALWAYS BEEN very mature for her age. Perhaps it was because she had to grow up quicker than other children or because she was forced into picking up a belief before her brain had barely grasped the idea of life.

But we know excessiveness, for the most part, only ends up with undesired results.

The neglected behaviour and harshness had already moulded her and made her numb to any criticism. She had lived thirteen years alone and so being isolated didn't faze her anymore. She was used to taking care of herself and she was sufficient enough to love herself. She didn't need anyone.

You're always going to be alone.

That is Anna Rowly's principal of life.

Or was before she stepped into Hogwarts, made friends, was loved, found a family and got swept up her feet and off the ground.. So high that she forgot how things worked on Earth. Nothing is permanent. She failed to realize that. Because under the hard, independent demeanor she had created Anna was naive. She was mature yes, but only as much as a thirteen years old who was self taught could be.

The first three months at Hogwarts had been like a dream. She loved her classes. She loved the food. She loved the freedom of being able to do magic- to be able to release the alluring substances that ran through her veins. She loved every minute of it. But what she loved the most was spending time with her amazing friends. Be it walking down to the Black Lake during break or laughing with them in the Great Hall or chatting in the Common room and even bickering, she treasured all the little things. Her ability of lack of devotion was washed away and she was left vulnerable. She became attached. And she didn't mind.

But soon she was woken up by the harsh reality and she had no shield to protect herself.

The conflict during Christmas was rather significant and couldn't end within a night. Ron and Harry were angry with Hermione while she believed she acted for the best. And Anna was stuck in the middle. Quarrels between friends were normal no doubt but Anna was more inexperienced than any of her classmates. And there's a saying, giving something to someone who had never had it makes them crave for more and it was the same for her. She craved love. She became selfish. The possibility of her friendship being broken left her restless and her mind overtook several scenarios with the tiniest bit of crack.
