You are my moon. So beautiful, so bright, yet so far.

Flashback

September 1, 1991

I can't wait to arrive at Hogwarts.

It's my first year and I am so excited about the Sorting Ceremony. I'm looking forward to be in Gryffindor. If not lucky enough, then at least on Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff. I don't really want to be in Slytherin, you know?

My parents told me that some of the Slytherin students are sly and hard-headed, and personally, I don't think I fit there.

As I walk down the corridor, it was filled with people who are chatting excitedly, a boy probably in the same age as I spoke.

"I think Durmstrang would be better than Hogwarts." he said at my back with his eyes wondering around as he chews his licorice stick.

"I disagree. My parents told me that Hogwarts is the best wizarding school among any others like Ilvermorny, Beauxbatons, Castelobruxo, Uagadou, and many more." I replied as I turn around facing him, "I'm Aurora Forsythe by the way." I added as I pull my hand for a handshake.

"I'm Draco Malfoy." he replied, accepting my handshake. "This one's Gregory Goyle and this one's Vincent Crabbe." he said pointing his fingers to the other fat boys behind his back.

"Can we be friends?" I asked with a smile on my face, walking backwards.

"I don't get friends easily especially to strangers."

"That's why I'm making friends with you, idiot." I let out soft giggles in such silliness he showed, "To know you more."

"Let's see then, after we got sorted." he replied shortly, passing through me.

A silly boy he was. Cute but boastful. I only want to be friends with him.

He was the first person I knew here. Draco Malfoy.

I walk more, looking for an empty booth where I could sit and rest as we travel and saw one with a young girl inside.

Her hair is curly and frizzy, burying her face on the book she was reading seriously.

I knocked, "Mind if I sit here?" I asked politely before I enter.

"Yes, you may." she replied at me, parting the book away from her face.

I sat down and started to speak to her.

And with that, a new friendship started to bud between us.

Few weeks had gone by already. September had passed.

Hogwarts was still the same but the environment is new. Dolores Umbridge, the Professor of Don't. Don't do this, don't do that, don't, don't, don't. Nevertheless, she was the reason why our house earns more house points easier. She tasked us to know what Potter's crew has been up to and we did so as part of the Inquisitorial Squad.

Potter's into so much trouble this past couple of days because of me.

I am also busy being a prefect because it was my duty to make sure no students would do inappropriate things, ruining every slumber party they are planning to do and I am not jealous of the people having fun while I was busy checking and patrolling around.

But of all houses, why Gryffindor? It's as if they don't have their own prefects.

Well, I want Potter to stumble down his feet, expelled in this pathetic school. Seeing him suffer concocts comfort in my nerves. And in order to finish the task given to me, I should hook the weakest among all of them.

I walk straight to the Potions Classroom looking for any motivations to finish my assignments. I was early today. I take a look at the cauldrons that sits still in every table. Ingredients that are lifeless, displayed in a rack near the brewed potions that are probably a decade or two years old.

Glancing. Observing. Examining to whoever looks vulnerable.

Glancing. Observing. Tapping my knuckles against the table, creating beats and noises.

Glancing. Observing. Staring to every person that comes inside while Professor Snape discusses.

And there it is; the prey.

My eyes glint to where she was sitting who is as of the moment, listing down notes as Professor Snape speaks.

She taps her quill against the desk. Brush her hair with her fingers. Yawn. Fiddle with her ring. Repeat.

As I know, she doesn't excel in Potions, though she passed her grades high, given that Granger is her friend, she still can't reach how high my grades are.

Without any cautions, she glinted to where I was sitting as our eyes meet.

She glared at me as I flashed an evil smirk.
