They were in Steve's car, listening to Queen's hammer to fall, describing Dart to Steve.
"Wait a second, how big?" Steve asked.
"First he was like this, now he's like this." Dustin said moving to the middle seat in the car describing the length with his fingers.
"I swear to God man, it's just some little lizard, okay?" Steve said.
"Yeah it definitely wasnt." Y/n said.
"How do you know." Steve asked.
"How do we know if it's not?" Dustin said.
"How do you know it's not just a lizard?" Steve repeated.
"Because his face opened up and he ate my cat." Dustin said.
Steve was pretty silent after that comment, pulling into Dustin's driveway.
Steve got out the 2 bats out of the trunk of his car and closed the trunk.

They went up to the entrance on Dustin's basement.
Steve held up a flashlight to the lock on the doors.
He listened for a moment. "I don't hear shit." Steve said.
"He's in there." Dustin said.
Steve looked at Dustin then back at the red doors, he tapped the lock with one of the bats.
He waited for a moment then slammed the bat down on the doors.
He turned to the 2 and shined the light in Dustin's face.
"Alight listen kid. I swear if this is some sort of Halloween prank, you're dead." Steve said.
"It's not. Now get outta my face." Dustin said.
"Well you got us. It's all a big prank. And for extra flair we killed Dustin's cat, scooped out his insides, and buried it just to get a good scare out of you." Y/n said as Steve turned to her.
Steve rolled his eyes, "You got a key for this thing?"

Steve opened the doors to the basement and looked down.
Dustin held the flashlight out to Steve and he took it.
"He must be further down there." Dustin said. "I'll stay up here in case he tries to escape."
Y/n rolled her eyes. "Are you gonna go or is the 13 year old gonna be braver than you."
Steve scoffed and went down the stairs.
They waited for a little bit but nothing happened.
"Steve?" Dustin called out but he didn't respond.
"Steve what's going on down there?"
Just then Steve shined the light back in their faces.
"Get down here." He said.
