"Javen Khari Scott, will you marry me?" I stared at Kentrell who was down on one of his knees.
I had probably been standing here looking at him for a minute or two now just thinking about the worst for no reason. That's my problem, always overthinking and scaring my damn self.
"Babygirl." I blinked a few times.
"Huh?" He chuckled.
"Will you marry me mamas?" I looked down. I had started thinking so hard that I scared my damn self. I had my reasons for wanting to say no and my reasons for wanting to say yes.
"Um......I don't know Kentrell."
"What you mean you don't know?"
"I'm just hesitant, I don't want to say no and end up regretting in but I don't want to say yes and be stuck if something happen-" He rested his hand on my waist pulling me closer to him.
"All relationships go through shit ok, and yes we do have a lot to work on. It might not be fixed right away but we'll get there. But it's not a one person job, we're gonna have to work together." I nodded my head slowly.
"I promise.....I'm not tryna do anything to hurt you or anybody else."
"Me either."
"Ok then, we have to work to together. You have to trust me."
"As long as you trust me." He nodded.
"So, you willing to give it one last shot and remember this is gonna be forever." I took a deep breath before putting a smile on my face.
"Yeah." He smiled.
"Ok ok, let me ask again." He pushed me back and I fixed myself up a little.
"Ready?" I nodded.
"Javen Khari Scott, will you marry me?"
"Yes!" I smiled and he laughed sliding the ring onto my finger. He stood up and I laughed wrapping my arms around him.
"I love you."
"I love you too." We just stood there, I can't believe I aloud myself to overthink about my answers so bad, my mind took shit too far.
"Bae.........."
"Yes Khari?"
"Nothing, just feels good to say that again." He chuckled before picking me up. I wrapped my legs around his waist and he laid me down on the bed.
"We gon start fresh ok, forget about the past and focus on the future. Got it?" I nodded my head.
"Promise me you won't do anything to hurt me or my children." He stared at me for a moment before kissing my lips.
