Chapter 16

You try to run away to escape the fact Teresa and Gally are kissing behind you.

As you desparetly get up, you step on the leaves and make a loud crunch sound.

"Who's there?" Says Teresa.

Crap. Gally comes out and looks shocked to see you.

"Y/N! I'm so sorry. I... I just couldn't help it! The whole time o was thinking of you but pulled me in!" Gally says.

You sigh. "I really don't know what to think right now."

"Well, now that you know about me and Gally, you can give us some privacy." Teresa grins.

"No way! I love Y/N, everyone darn glader here knows it." Gally pulls away from her and laches her arm.

"Fine! Then I'll find someone new. Maybe Newt." She snaps back.

"In your dreams. He's with-" Gally covers his mouth.

Huh? This could be interesting.

"Whatever. I never even liked Gally anyway. I just thought he was hot. And you probably do too." She looks at you right in the eyes.

All you know is next your fist flys uncontrollably into... Her face. Then you feel her fist smash into your face and brutally hitting your left cheek bone, then everything goes blank.

You wake up to the sun in your eyes. Gally is sitting next to you.

"What happened?!" You ask him.

"You punched Teresa. Then she knocked you out." He says.

"oh... Yeah. At least I don't feel bad." You say.

"You don't really like me because of my body, right?" He looks at you sincerely.

"Of course not. I love you for everything little thing about you, even the bad stuff." You say, softly.

Gally leans in and wraps his arm around you. He locks his lips with yours, and you kiss back. Each kiss feeling more natural. He puts his hands on your head and strokes your long hair as he kisses you.

He curls in your bed and you continue, and he stops and looks deeply into your eyes. "What?" You ask.

"I'm just so in love with you."

"Why?"

"Everything about you. The way you eat, the way you sleep, the way you smile, the way you talk, the whole entire way you exist makes me crazy for you-" You stop his lingering words by kisses.

About an hour later, probably most spent just plain cuddling, you both finally leave to face the glade.

You can see Teresa glaring at you.

Gally whispers, "Don't worry about her."

"Hey, Y/N! Feeling better?" Thomas asks.

"Yeah, thanks."

Alby taps on your shoulder.

"Oh, hi, Alby." You say with a smile.

"Yeah, whatever. Hi. We need to talk." He walks past the track hoes and leads to the homestead. You follow curiously.

"Look. Teresa knocked you out. We can't allow that. We need to banish her for breaking the rule of not harming another glader." Alby says in a serious tone.

"You can't banish her! She is just a brat. She didn't kill me or anything." You say.

"We have to." He says. As he starts to leave, you grab his sleeve.

"Please. Don't. If I can get an apology from her, to me and Gally, will you not banish her?" You plead.

"Fine. Good luck." He chuckles.

Why would you help her? You're such a slinthead. This won't be easy, she's really stubborn. Gosh. This might be a challenge. But still, she is In fact fighting for a life.
