Can someone please tell me the correct way to spell Minho/mihno?? I've seen it both ways and ice spelled it both ways... I can't refer to the book because I lent it to a friend. Ahh this is so frustrating
______________________Your legs burn. More specifically, your calves. And carrying a metal bucket does not help. At all. You'd give anything for some water right now.
You reach the outer most part of the maze. At least that's what you were told, giving the snip - its of conversations you've heard over the weeks. Were you stalking? Nah.
It's hard to make all the sudden turns. Sometimes the openings close and you have to keep going until you find a new way to everyone. It's the most stressful thing you've ever done. And that's coming from a glader! Even the most care free gladers are under an incredible amount of stress and fear. Not to mention confusion. That should've been mentioned first.
The greenie is doing fine. Or less. He seems to not be weak but running this maze is NOT easy.
You decide to tell him what's coming. Like, how would you feel if you simply thought you were just running a maze with strangers, but then robotic spider things jumped out and tried to kill you? Yeah, that would be terrible...
"Hey, greenie. I-" you take a deep breath.
"I- uh, you need-" you pant. "To know something."
"What's... That?" He heavily breathes also.
"If... You see a half metal giant spider, it's gonna kill you. Unless you fight. Just call me me if you need help."You shout.
"That sounds pleasant." He gulps. Poor guy. You pity him. He runs faster. Probably on fear of meeting a griever.
You've found it.
The Griever hole.
This will be fantastic. Shuck. You're only kidding yourself. You've been dreading this for the longest time. Time to show these slintheads who's boss.
It's really odd. You get a deadly vibe. Like you will die. Or something will jump out at you at any second. It makes you more cautious than you've ever been. You and everyone wait a few aggravating moments. Each second your heart pounds louder and faster. It's like it's beating out of your chest. You're standing completely still, not even moving a muscle. The dark room sends a chill up your spine, once again.
You hear the steps of a griever come out. It's time. Ugh... Please, no. Just no. You're not ready for this!
The griever aggressively attacks. Someone with a wooden bucket splashes it and the Griever falls dead. You see Chuck and Teresa rush elsewhere to go type in the code.
Three more come out. You can hear gladers dying and screaming. But fighting.
After those 3 got taken care of, more just keep coming. Where are they coming from, anyway? Do they grow on trees? Geez!
One comes towards you. You so aren't ready for this. You're screwed.
You quickly splash the bucket at it, and it weakens. You desperately finish it off by walking it with your bucket. You surprised yourself by not freezing up.
Hey! That could be useful! You could use that to kill grocers or knock them out. Like a weapon, sort of...
You run around, hearing Teresa and Chuck yell in confusion. You continue to help knock the grievers out. Where ever you turn, there is an ugly monster trying to kill you. Real nice. It's just so overwhelming.
A single griever hisses at you, and you immediately whack it like there's no tomorrow. The sounds of the metal clang on the griever and the metal vibrates the area. Woah. That's way more louder than you expected it to be.
You can see over on the left Gally is taking care of the griever in front of him. But there's one behind him waiting to attack while he's not looking. He's already working really hard, you don't think he could handle it because he's already been taking on a lot of the fighting. Man, can he shove. And those arms... STOP! You'll have time for drooling over Gally later. Now is not the time. Though you wish it was.
He soon has two grievers to fight. You decide to help him, and you run up to go kill the griever behind him, just when it was about to attack. But, 5 more grievers come out and you're now battling 2.
You kick the one behind you with all you might, while using you bucket on the one in front of you. You just can't keep up.
You and Gally are hopeless. Helpless, even.
Thomas swoops in and gives the extra Hard smack to the grievers. Thank goodness.
Someone says, "I think our time is up! It's been more than 30 minutes and our buckets are burning!" Ugh.
You frantically run around to see if anyone needs help. Without buckets, they're almost defenseless. You feel kind of guilty that you are one of the few who got a metal bucket. How did they decide that anyway? Never mind that. You have bigger problems at the moment.
Looks like all the grievers are dead. Ew. This place smells Nasty. It smells like griever guts and sweat. You try to breathe out of your mouth, because the smell distracts you. But it makes you breathe too heavily and you force yourself to take it the fumes.
Just as soon you think you're home free, a whole group of more grievers come out.
You start to panic. Gally shouts, "We can do this!" You wish you were as confident as him. You actually wished that a lot, these days.
At that moment, you hear Chuck scream, "YES!!! WE DID IT!!!" That sounds like a good sigh! You could use more of those. Lately, it's always a bad sign.
Gally looks you right in the eye and smiles. His smile says one thousand words. This is the happiest that he ever was to see you. Ever. His face just glows like he just went to the happiest place on earth. You give him the biggest hug you've ever given him, and he says, "we did it. We made it. You're the love of my life, even though I haven't seen many girls. Please stay with me. We did it, Y/N."
"Yes we did." You feel very content in him arms, as always...
All the grievers squeal and collapse at the same exact time.
