Chapter 8

"What do you mean she said 'I'm coming'?"

"I don't know, it was just the same creepy girl."

"Maybe its just a dream. It probably means nothing."

"OK, I'll believe you for now. But don't say I didn't warn you."

"Okay dreamy."

Some of the boys come up to you and smile like 5 year olds.

"Some of us have been seen you two... playing around." Giggles Newt.

"Yea, are you guys like, dating or something?" Giggles Thomas.

"Whattttt?! Uh... noooo." Your a terrible liar. Of course you like Gally, and he probably likes you too. I mean, nothings exactly official.

"You liar!" Newt sounds like a 10 year old now. "Go ahead, ask em out."

Gally is literally right there.

"C'mon, we could use a little romance in the glade." Chuck snickers.

"Fine. Y/N, would you like to be my girlfriend?"

"It would be my pleasure." You giggle. The gladers laugh and clap.

Jeffrey appears out of nowhere and says, "Where's your pants?" To Gally.

"Um, on my legs.?"

"Not anymore!" He pulls them down, giggles and runs like a cheetah, tripping on the way. Gally blushes, and gives you a cheesy fake smile. He pulls up his pants and runs after him. Part of him wants to like Jeffrey, you can tell. Gally runs after him yelling, "shank! Ill get you for this!" You laugh and clap for him. "You go tiger!" You joke. He must be so embarrassed.

You turn around, about the talk to newt. But suddenly you hear a loud BOOM and they sky gets really grey and eerie.

"Take cover!" Screetches Alby. Um, whats happening?! Well, better do what they say...

You have no idea what's happening, so you run to Gally and mihno to and croutch under a bed. Its so tight you can't bear the pain.

"What- what's going on?" You whisper.

Mihno whispers back, "It's no ordinary thunderstorm. Whoever sent us here created it. Its like a thunderstorm. But with the rain is burning chemicals. Whoever goes outside dies."

"Why would someone do that?!" You shutter.

"To test us, maybe." Gally says. "Once someone went out thinking it was just rain. It was a terrifying experience." He adds.

"How long do they usually last? I mean, is it long term?" You ask.

"No, only about 20 minutes. I guess whoever is doing this wants to see if simeone will go outside."

You sigh. "Well im NOT going outside! That's for sure."

Jeffrey comes out of the corner. "Yes you are."

"Excuse me, what?" You ask, confused. You really thought Jeffrey was sensible.

"If these people are doing this to test us, let's give them what they want. After that maybe they'll do something good." Jeffrey says.

"No ones going out there." Gally says, protectively.

"Don't you get it! I can't handle this! I need to go back! We need to sacrifice so we can go home!" He shouts.

Gally stands in front of the door. You just look at him, shocked. There's a moment where everything is frozen. But in a second Jeffrey pushes you aggresivly to the door while you scream and struggle against him. Gally pushes him away, which takes a minute. Just before Jeffrey gives up, Gally shouts, "No! We all leave! Together!"
