SEASON 2 EPISODE 8, YES THANK YOU!!!

>>Wait, Luz. Hold up.<<
>>Wha?<<
>>You're sure we should just drop that on your mom? I've the feeling that magic isn't really something you see every day in the human realm.<<
>>Oh, right. Almost forgot that. But I totally didn't freak out when I first went to the demon realm and found out about magic. So she won't either.<<
>>I dare to doubt that.<<
>>C'mon, what could go wrong?<<
With a little sigh, and a goofy grin from Luz, Amity gave in and followed her back into the living room.

Luz sat down next to her mom, explaining her to stay calm as Amity would show her that they weren't joking with her. When Luz turned to Amity she panicked a bit. Although it was stupid. Why would someone panic about something that they do every day? That's like panicking about breathing. Banishing her useless thoughts Amity managed to think straight again.
>>Okay, where do I begin...<< She in fact had no idea where to begin. Certainly not with Amity's life story.

>>Magic.<< Amity made a pause, secretly waiting for something. For what? She didn't know herself. >>I sorta come from a different realm. We have magic over there. And demons and monsters.<<
The look on the face of Luz's mother didn't help Amity feel any more safe in what she was trying to explain. So she decided that showing what she tried to describe was easier.
>>I uh, I'll show you what I mean, if that's okay.<<

Amity was gesturing, trying to calm her girlfriend's mother before she even started. Aaaand Amity's mind went blank. Great. Think, what spell was easy and not an abomination. She figured that a gooey, moving being wasn't the best choice to show someone who wasn't used to magic. But there was nothing else on her mind by now. So what about a small abomination..? Yea this is gonna go so wrong.

So now Amity drew a spell circle the size of her palm. The glowing circle alone made the eyes of both, Luz and her mother widen. Although they had very different expressions. On the floor, next to Amity's leg, was a pigeon sized abomination rising out of nothing. After several seconds of staring, Luz's mother stood up and left the room, muttering something to herself. Amity just noticed she still didn't know the name of Luz's mother.

>>What do we do now?<<
While talking, Amity commanded the Abomination to cower so it would disappear again. Meanwhile Luz shrugged. But then she stood up.
>>Let me talk to her. Just, I dunno, wait here.<< Luz threw her phone into Amity's lap. >>You can watch some videos or something on my phone if you want to.<<
>>But I have my-<<
Amity didn't need to finish her sentence as Luz was already out of the room.

Luz peeked back into the room, calling for Amity. But she stopped in the middle of her sentence.
>>Woah, everything okay, Ammy?<<
Amity looked over to where Luz's voice came from.
>>This thing<< she pointed at Luz's phone, >>It's a scary thing.<<
>>Oh, whoops. Should've told you to be careful. Sorry.<<
While standing up, Amity shook her head. She walked over to Luz.
>>Is your mom okay?<<
>>Yea. A bit shocked, but she's fine.<<

Luz's eyes wandered around the room before they fixated on Amity's.
>>You wanna come with..?<<
It took Amity a moment to process the question, she then nodded, standing up to follow Luz. Over in a different room Amity cleared her throat before talking.
>>Uhm... I'm sorry for scaring you, Ma'am. It wasn't my intention.<<
She almost started gesturing like wild, but was able to control herself. Saved it, nice. Luz's mother smiled at Amity's awkward self, declaring that it was okay.

>>Sooo..?<<
Luz got herself into the conversation, asking what was still in the air.
>>Can I stay with Amity and the others? I can visit on the weekends and during summer break and such. I don't know if you have Christmas in the demon realm though.<<
She looked over to Amity to get an answer. But from her expression, Amity seemed to have zoned out.
>>Also I can call you! I mean I'm just a door away. Literally.<<

There was a short silence between them before Luz's mother sighed.
>>Okay.<<
>>But mamá I- wait. Okay? Without arguing?<<
>>Mija, if I'd say no, would that stop you?<<
>>Absolutely.<<
Amity now entered the conversation.
>>Luz.<<
>>Don't stab me in the back like that, Amity. Betrayaaaal!<<
>>I didn't even say anything-<<
Luz grasped the fabric of her shirt where her heart would be and let herself fall backwards toward Amity. The witch made an effort to not let Luz fall straight onto the ground.

>>Ay, you didn't let me fall.<<
Amity nodded, more surprised about the fact that she reacted in time than anything else. It finally dawned on them, that they weren't alone just yet. As fast as humanly possible, Luz jumped up into a normal standing position.
>>Can I meet the person you will live with when you're in that... world, mija? I want to make sure you're in good hands.<<
Luz nodded, a slight smile on her face. She was a bit worried about her mother meeting Eda. What could go wrong, right? But, to get those thoughts out of her mind, Luz shook her head. It was good right now.

>>Oh, it's already dark outside.<<
After Amity finished her sentence, although mumbled it more to herself, Luz turned her head to look outside the window.
>>It is! Ammy, I wanna show you something. Follow me!<<
Leaving her mother without an explanation, Luz grabbed Amity's hand to pull her with her upstairs.
>>Check this out,<< Luz let go of Amity's hand to open a window. >>It's not as pretty as the sky above the Boiling Isles, but stargazing is something I always wanted to do with a partner.<<

Amity strode towards the window aswell, leaning on the window sill, just like Luz did. They looked into the sky for a while. There were almost no clouds and the stars shone bright. Although the sky was so different Amity couldn't help but glance over at Luz. It felt so... surreal; in a good way. She put her hand on Luz's, who let her head rest on Amity's shoulder not much later. It was good this way. With a smile on her lips Amity disturbed the silence, whispering into Luz's direction.
>>Thank you.<<
