It was Monday morning. Amity woke up just before her alarm tried to get her out of bed by almost giving her a heart attack. Loud alarms are fun! She wasn't tired anymore but was too lazy to get out of the warm sheets, the noise her alarm made by her side. Pulling the blanket over her head, Amity quietly rebelled against the ringing but ended up getting out of bed anyway. Her shoulder hurt a bit, probably because she moved into a weird position while sleeping. Trying to make the pain fade the witch rolled her shoulder forwards and then backwards. It would stop hurting by the time she left the house. At least that's what Amity hoped for.

Luz's morning wasn't so calm. She overslept and when she tried to wake up Eda, the witch needed about five minutes to open her eyes, realize that Luz was talking to her and another five minutes to remember that she agreed on going to Hexside with Luz that morning. She complained that they could also go to Hexside later that day. But Luz argued that she also wanted to see Amity, and her friends too, again.

>>Oh so you weren't joking?<<
>>About what?<<
>>Ah, nevermind.<<
Eda waved her hand in front of Luz's face, trying to make the human girl back up so she could get up from her nest-like bed. Luz was now quietly waiting in front of Eda's room, smiling like a little kid on Christmas. She was replaying the last evening in her mind over and over again, which caused her happiness. King walked by, telling Luz a short ,,good morning", clearly not expecting to lose the ground under his feet when he suddenly got picked up. The little demon shrugged, accepting his fate of getting petted like a little cat. After Luz returned the ,,good morning" King asked why she was smiling. The only answer he got was a weird laugh.

It took King almost no time to realize that he wouldn't get a better answer. So he mentioned that Luz was more smiley than usual. No reaction. The demon sighed, now just enjoying the pets he got. After some time, which felt like an eternity, the door of Eda's room opened. Clearly rushing by now Luz grabbed her mentor's arm when she saw her, pulling the witch downstairs. King still in her arms.

The demon squeaked that he didn't want to go with them to Hexside and was able to jump out of Luz's arms at the door. Hooty, who must've slept until now, asked way too many questions as usual. He got an answer as all three of them told him that they didn't had the nerve or time to talk to a speaking door. He let out a disappointed hoot before closing after Luz and Eda got into the forest surrounding the house.

>>Okay, another day, another seven hours of school. Not a big deal. It's just another day-<<
The loud noise of a hand hitting the locker next to Amity's face let the witch jump in sheer panic. Some quiet curses escaped her mouth.
>>Talking to yourself, Blight?<<
>>Oh hello! Good morning! How was your night, Boscha?<<
For a second Amity kept her obvious fake smile and enthusiasm up, before her voice lost all kind of emotion, making her sound oddly deadpan. Her expression changed into an expression that told Boscha to leave her alone.
>>Can't you go and annoy someone else? I've classes to attend.<<

Obviously Boscha didn't care. She even made the effort to follow Amity around school. And with time the latter got more and more annoyed by her unwanted company. Finally Amity turned around, already a bit more angry than than usual. Just in that moment she remembered that everyone around her grew during the past years. Now that she remembered the at least 5 inches height difference between them Amity decided to not yell at Boscha.

As calm as possible she tried to explain that she just didn't have the time for ,,Boscha's bs" this morning. Staring up into blue eyes it felt like Amity was talking to a wall. She started to feel like prey; which was dumb because she was definitely capable of enough magic and experience to defend herself. To Amity's relief her opponent just nodded and turned around. Shrugging and saying she'd meet Amity after school as she had promised to ,,return her favor".
