Do what you love for yourself and forget about the internet for a second. If you decide to share it stop looking at the likes or follows or reads. Just do it for yourself and because you're proud if it.
That's something I repeat in my head almost daily. I tend to put a lotta pressure onto myself which causes burnouts. So I'm trying to do things like writing for me and only myself. I mean obviously others will see this, like u rn but if I'm constantly trying to make the story in a way others would enjoy I'd lose the joy of writing it. Uhm.. such a realtalk right here- anyways, tuning in for Chapter 4!!

As the girls build their reading place Edric and Emira peeked into the room again. At first neither Amity nor Luz noticed. But they soon did, as the twins sang a familiar ,,Hey Mittens!" in union. The young witch jumped in fear and turned to the door, her face red. She hissed something at her siblings that Luz didn't quite understood. So she just placed another pillow on the blanket, not bothering about the conversation the Blight kids were having.
>>So we're going downstairs to eat. Ya wanna come with us?<<
Amity lifted a brow; she turned to Luz waiting for the human to make a choice. She looked at Amity then at the twins and back to Amity. Giving her a big grin as a try to make the witch's mood lighten up a bit Luz suggested to go with Edric and Emira. The youngest Blight gave out a little sight as she stood up and offered Luz a hand to help her stand up. When she felt the warmth of Luz's hand on her own the witch blushed a little.
>>Your hands are cold. Are you okay, Amity?<<
She was caught a bit off guard but nodded. Where her hands really that cold? But it was sweet that Luz cared about her. They went downstairs to go to the kitchen
>>So, whaddya want?<<
Edric didn't wait for an answer as he continued to search through some cabinets. Emira was leaning onto the big, really big kitchen table, waiting for her sister or Luz to say something. She was sneakily giving some smiles to her brother who was now opening the fridge. He openly gave his twin a smug smile and nodded into Amity's direction. Luz right next to the shortest Blight now looked at her in confusion as her ears went down in embarrassment. Barely noticeable Amity slowly shook her head, her eyebrows furrowed.
Brightly smiling Emira sneaked up to Amity, which didn't notice her sister, and put an arm around her shoulders which made the poor witch jump again. She grasped onto her chest, heavily breathing. Since when was Amity so easily startled? Worried about her friend Luz bend a bit forward so she could see Amity's face. A slight smile appeared on the witch's lips as she noticed Luz.
Both of them noticed that they were awkwardly staring at each other, just after the twins started laughing. Her head now completely red Amity hissed something at the twins in anger. Luz only understood a few words and wasn't able to build a sentence out of them. To her surprise the twins in fact did understand their younger sister as they lifted their hands as some sort of protection.
>>Anyways... the fridge is surprisingly empty. You wanna take a look, Mittens?<<
The witch sighed and moved to the fridge. After scanning the food inside she closed the door just to reopen it a couple of seconds later.
>>What is she doing..?<<
Luz leaned over to Emira but didn't bother to take her eyes from Amity. The Blight shrugged and looked up from her sister to take a look at Luz.
>>Dunno. She's probably just lookin' through the stuff in there but with lower standards. Thought everyone does that at some point...<<
She looked back to Amity which was now sticking an arm in the fridge.
Almost jubilant she took her arm back out of the fridge and held up a box with something inside.
>>We still have some eggs!<<
Emira shook her head while asking how someone could be so happy about eggs before she looked at her brother who was even more excited about Amity's discovery and let out a sight. Under her breath was a quiet ,,Oh right. I forgot." Which made the human giggle. She tried to lighten up the mood as she took a step forward.
>>Well, if you have the ingredients we could make cookies or-<<
>>Yea! Em, Mittens! Let's make cookies!<<
Surprised by Edric's enthusiasm Luz just nodded, searching help in Amity's eyes. The latter simply shrugged, being a bit helpless herself, and put the box with the eggs on the stove. After she made sure that it was turned off she looked at her siblings and then at Luz, giving her a small smile.
