Chapter 19

Eric slowly opens the door of his parent's home; he peeks inside and when he finds the area clean, he sniffs a bit trying to point where his mother was.

"He is home" Gio shouts from behind Eric who jumps startled.

"Gio" he groans as the man grins and grabs Eric's shoulder pushing him in the house.

"Finally," Erika sighs in relief as she hurries down the stairs.

"Careful" Enzo shouts at his mate only to shut as Erika jumps in her son's arm who was not ready to hold Erika and both of them slowly go down but Gio wraps his arm around Erika to save her while Eric falls down with a thud.

"You are pregnant, Piglet. Stop running and jumping" Enzo sighs as he pulls Erika from Gio's arms.

"But my baby boy is home from death's mouth" Erika points as she throws her arms out towards Eric who gets up and goes to hug her.

"Sorry mom, I worried you" he apologizes.

"Worried? I was not worried at all; I have faith in my genes to know you would pull out of it alive" she grins.

"Oh"

"So, where's Blue?" she asks looking behind Eric.

"She is back at her home"

"Why?" Erika frowns before she grabs his shirt and pulls it aside.

"Mom" Eric groans.

"Don't tell me you two did not mate" she grumbles.

"Well, with everything we did not had the time..."

"Why do you all have to take your father's side on this? He took ages to mate me, so did your big sister and now you...disappointed is not the only the word that comes in my mind seeing your neck bare" Erika sighs.

"But mom, we were kidnapped"

"It's part of your upbringing! What is the use of having supernatural power if you did not get kidnapped and fought against the bad?" she asks him.

"I would have mated her but I could hardly be with her as her father and brother did not let me in her room and I had to sneak in, I even sneaked through window this morning but she said I should be home and check on you all to assure I was fine" he explains as he goes to walk past her but Erika grabs the back of his shirt pulling him back.

"Did Advin and his son stopped you from seeing your mate? How dare he?" she growls.

"It's not that, Blue was...."

"And now he is victim of in-laws syndrome" Erika narrows her eyes.

"In-laws syndrome? Is that even a thing?" Gio asks in confusion.

"It is, it happens when you want to defend your in-laws and not hear any bad things because you are in-laws to the in-laws" Erika nods and Gio tilts his head as he stares at Erika before he thinks better of it, shakes his head and walks to take a seat.

"It's nothing like that mom, and anyways Blue must have been so tired after she got the powers from her grandmother" he smiles as he thinks of his mate.

"Wait, no one told me about Blue getting powers" Erika asks as she follows her son.

"She is not Alpha of Summer's pack" Eric grins as he sits down and Engel walks in bringing a tray of juice.

"Congratulations, brother" Engel smiles and Eric kisses on her cheek as he grabs the glass.

"Your mate is an Alpha?" Erika frowns making Eric nod his head.
