23: No one invited me

Shayne's POV

It's been three days after the shoot. Naka-stay lang ako sa bahay since ayaw muna akong palabasin ni Clud. I've been waiting for Ethan to visit me, pero nahihirapan itong mag excuse sa dad niya.

Markus is really unbelievable. Hindi niya pwedeng pagbawalan si Ethan na bisitahin ako.

"Hey..."

Lumapit si Clud sa sofa na kinauupuan ko at tumabi sa gilid ko. Inabot niya naman sakin yung green tea na ni-request ko.

"I have a meeting today, are you sure you're going to be fine?" Tanong ni Clud.

"Yes. I'll just take some rest for the whole day and cook your favourite food once you get home." I said.

"You're making me want to stay here." Pagsuko ni Clud. Lumapit ito at hinalikan yung balikat ko.

Biglang nag vibrate yung phone ko. Thank God it's Ethan. Sinagot ko yung call at hinayaan na marinig ni Clud.

"Good morning anak."

[Good morning mom, I forgot that I have a group project around 9am. I can sneak out and meet you.]

"Ethan I think you should---"

[It's okay mommy. Besides, dad wouldn't let me out of his sight. He's being too much.]

"He can't stop me for seeing my son."

[I know. I'll just meet you around 11pm. ]

"Okay, I'll make a reservation at a restaurant for us."

[Okay mommy. Thank you. I'll see you later.]

Ethan ended the call before even said goodbye. He's really a growing too fast.

"I'll make the reservation for you. Please, don't forget to bring Dexter with you." Clud reminded me. Dexter is my personal body guard that he hired.

"Thank you." I said to Clud.

Markus' POV

I just had my meeting this morning. I don't really have anything to do. I'm on my way home, I think I'll spend my time with my son and rest.

After a few minutes, the stop in front of the mansion. My body guard opened the door for me.

"What's for lunch? Did Ethan ate already?" I asked. It's already 12pm.

"Sir wala po si Ethan. Umalis po siya kanina, may group project daw po." The maid said.

"Okay, give me the address where he is. " I ordered.

My body guard went ahead to check the GPS on Ethan's phone. My son has no idea how I can track him. Even his watch has a GPS device.

"Sir...Ethan is at a restaurant."

Napakunot yung noo ko.

"He's doing a group project at the restaurant?" I asked.

What the fuck is Ethan up to? I've never seen anyone have their group project---

"Bullshit." I exclaimed.

"He's with Shayne. Let's go there now " I told my men.

Shayne's POV

"What's your plan for Christmas?" Ethan asked while he's eating his Ravioli pasta.

"Well, Clud and I were planning to visit Ibiza, we would like you to come with us." I said.

"Yeah right. As if dad would allow me. I really want to spend Christmas with you."

It's been years since Ethan and I had our Christmas together. It's usually the three of us with my mother. We always have a simple celebration.

Magsasalita na sana ako nang biglang may lumapit sa table namin. Nanlaki yung mata ko nang makita si Markus.

"D-Dad..." Hindi makapaniwalang sabi ni Ethan.

"I didn't knew you can have a group project at a restaurant." Markus said.

Hinila niya yung upuan at naupo sa gilid ng table. Nasa gitna ito pumwesto.

"You didn't told me that we were having a family reunion." Markus added.

"Obviously you were not invited." Sarcastic kong sabi. Napangiti naman ng pilit si Markus.

Itinaas ni Markus yung kamay niya para magsignal sa waiter. Nagsabi ito ng order at bumalik sa kitchen.

"So, since you're here, Ethan and I was talking about Christmas. I want to spend this Christmas with him." Seryoso kong sabi.

"No. Ethan and I have plans."

"Oh come on dad I don't want to go to grandma's place. I want to be with mom" Reklamo ni Ethan.

"See? He wants to be with me." Pagtataray ko kay Markus.

"No. It's never gonna happen." Pagmamatigas ni Markus.

He's really getting into my nerves.

"Look, Markus will spend Christmas with us, and I'll make sure he'll be back to spend New Year's eve with you." Paniniguro ko.

Napahinto si Markus at napaisip. Sunod, tinignan niya ako ng seryoso.

"You can spend Christmas with him...." Panimula nito.

"But we're celebrating it at my new rest house I bought in Maldives. Feel free to go there with us."

Sinamaan ko siya ng tingin.

"You're being unfair." Galit kong sabi.

"I'm being fair. I want to spend Christmas day with my son. " Seryosong sabi ni Markus.

Hindi nako nakapagsalita. Naiinis na talaga ako kay Markus.

"Oh please, don't flatter yourself. You must be thinking what will happen between us. " Pang aasar ni Markus.

Napangiti naman ako ng pilit.

"Fine. We'll celebrate Christmas together." Nakangiti kong sabi.

Nagiba yung itsura ni Markus na parang hindi makapaniwala.

"I'm bringing Clud. After all, he's going to be Ethan's stepdad." Pagpapatuloy ko.

Mabilis na nagbago itsura ni Markus. Parang makakapatay na ito ng tao ngayon. Well, hindi naman ako papayag na hindi ako mangaasar.

"I'm not gonna let that bastard step in my house " galit na sabi ni Markus.

"Aww. Did I ruined your plan to spend time with me?" Pangaasar ko pa.

Biglang dumating yung waitor dala dala yung order ni Markus. Napahinto kami at hinintay na iserve yung pagkain ni Markus. We didn't want to show that we're fighting.

"Thank you." Sabi ni Markus sa waitor nang maserve yung pasta niya.

"Fine. Don't expect me to get along with that bastard." Inis na sabi ni Markus.

"Do whatever you want. But we just want to spend this Christmas with Ethan" Seryoso kong sabi.

Markus' POV

Fucking hell.

I thought we will celebrate Christmas together, just the three of us. But Shayne decided to bring that bastard.

I don't know how I could get rid of him. He's obviously not welcome to my house.
