Markus’ POV

“Thank you for the ice cream Mr!” The child said happily.

“You’re welcome. Don’t worry, when we meet again, I’ll buy you more ice cream.” I said to him then smile.

“Mommy! He said that he will buy me more ice cream! Let’s meet him tomorrow!”

My attention went to Shayne. Her facial expression is still the same. She looks so nervous and scared, I don’t know why. Maybe she has problem.

“A-ahh. Halika na Marku-----Ethan. Kelangan mo pang matulog ng maaga.”

Wait. I haven’t asked her about the child’s name.

“Shayne. Can I ask his full name?” I said with a low tone.

She stared at my eyes before she answered my question.

“M-Markus Ethan Lustria….”

Wait. Lustria? It’s her last name. She’s a single mother. I wonder where is the father of that child.

“M-mauna na kami Sir.----”

“I’ll drive you home.” I said.

“Hindi na. Nakakahiya na sayo. Ayos na kami. Salamat nalang.”

I watched her as she walked away. Just like the old times. Whenever she leaves, I was always standing alone and seeing her walk away from me. Sometimes I imagine that she will never come back after that.

I dialed Jon’s number.

[What can I do for you?]

“I want you to know all the information about Shayne Lustria. ”

[Wooah. Did I hear you right? Shayne Lustria? Your ex? Pfffft.]

“Damn you. I don’t want to waste anytime. I want this in my office tomorrow. ”

[Sure pare. ]

I ended the call. It’s almost 8 pm. I went inside my car and drive home safely.

Honestly, I can’t get that child of my mind. I curious about his name. His first name is Markus, like mine. I’m sure that Shayne named him. But there are many names that she could pick. Why did she choose Markus? Maybe she still love me so she named the child after me? Nah. I don’t have a proof.

And I got more interested when she said he’s five years old.

5 years….

Oh yeah. It’s been five years since that day happened. When she left me. I don’t know but my mom told me that she left me that night. I was so angry and my heart shattered into pieces when I heard that. That’s why I choose to come with my mom back then.

Scratch that. I don’t want to talk about it now.

So don’t tell me that when we were together, she’s already pregnant?

So there’s a chance that……

I am the father of that child?

Shayne’s POV

Nang maka-uwi na kami ay sinarado ko agad ang pinto. Salamat at nakahinga na din ako ngmaluwag. Mukha akong tanga kanina. Para akong gago tuwing tinatanong at kinakausap nya ako. Nakahalata siguro sya? O baka hindi naamn? Sana hindi.

“Go and change your clothes. Then prepare our bed so we can sleep.” Utos k okay Ethan.

“Yes mom. ”
Hindi ko lubusang maisip na nagkita na sila. Well kahit ano namang gawin ko ay magkikita at magkikita padin sila. Hindi na ako natatakot o magugulat dun. Ang inaalala ko lang, baka malaman ni Markus ang totoo at kunin nya sakin si Ethan.

Hindi ko kakayanin yon. Paano nalang ako? Wala na akong kasama. Wala na nga si mama, pati ba naman anak mawawala din? Hinding hindi ko kakayanin yon. Magkamatayan na kaming dalawa.

Sana makunsensya sya. Lalo na sa ginawa nya sakin noon. Hinding hindi ko sya mapapatawad. Iniwan nya nalang ako bigla bigla sa ere. Ganon ba talaga sya? Ang tanga ko para ibigay yung pagkababae ko sakanya. Hindi ko akalaing gagawin nya iyon. Sa bagay, katawan lang naman siguro habol nya sakin.
