Ray finished putting Laura's lunch in a container for the field trip they had today. She packed spaghetti and meatballs, Laura's favorite food.
Laura ran down the stairs with her school clothes on and tossed a slice of toast with butter in her mouth while grabbing the lunch and running out saying 'bye, mom'.
They were going to the museum of art and artifacts and just ancient stuff in general.
She was so excited because she had always wanted to go to one.

After her homeroom teacher took attendance, they started getting onto the bus.
When they got there, Laura went in a group with Trey, Marcus, and John. Crystal went with Megan who was in another teacher's group.
Laura stood near Trey while the guide was showing them the museum. They passed by many valuable objects that were beautifully crafted. Most things were in glass so nobody could touch and get through them or steal.
About an hour before lunch time, the teacher let them go explore in groups so Laura, Trey, John, and Marcus strayed.
As they were walking, Laura had been constantly staring at a specific area.
"Laura, you all good? Staring at the left side like some statue thing--" Marcus said as Laura snapped out of her daze."O-oh! Right! I have to go to the bathroom! Ya'll can go ahead just not too far!!!" She ran off.
They stared as she disapeared. "Ain't they said the bathroom was right??" John said at the other two boys. Trey shrugged.
"Let's take this chance to go" "we're gonna leave her?" "She said we could" "she could get lost, though" "teacher's problem-she'd have no problem leaving us" "...that's true.." "wait! Are you sure we should?? Let's just wait. She shouldn't take long anyways" "but she went the wrong direction anyway. She's probably ALREADY lost so what's the point in waiting? If we leave, she gets lost looking for us but since she's already lost, why wait?"
All three spent time arguing and didn't notice about ten minutes passing. They were still arguing when Laura instantly ran into their view...with the Mona Lisa...
Alarms were going off as she shoved the painting in Trey's face. "Trey! Help me! I gotta get out of here before they catch me and I end up in juvenile detention!!" "WHAT?! HOW'D YOU GET THE MONA LISA-IT WAS IN GLASS! LAURA-I-I-YOU CRAZY?! I'M NOT HELPING YOU WITH NOTHING-MARCUS, JOHN-YA'LL HELP ME-" Trey turned around pleading for them to help but they were long gone..
"..." Trey was about to start running away from Laura before she held his wrist. "You're not going anywhere. You're gonna help me steal it-if you do, I'll tell you why and how..but if you don't...*chuckles*...well...just try me and you'll see what happens.."
Trey's eyes watered as the police turned around the corner. Trey tried pulling away from Laura who took that as a sign of resisting helping her. "I told you to help me-now I gotta do it" Laura screamed before pushing Trey into the fountain.
Trey desperately tried to swim so he could breath as Laura began running again. As she escaped, she bumped into many ancient statues that fell on the floor causing the police to trip over them. She laughed.
"THESE STATUES REALLY COME IN HANDY-ESPECIALLY WHEN I HAD TO BREAK THE GLASS OVER MONA LISA-THE IDEAL HAMMER!!!" She yelled hysterically not noticing the piece of statue below her.
She hastily fell over causing the Mona Lisa to go flying and break the glass over another important painting.
The Mona Lisa crashed into the painting and created a GIANT hole. The police officer cried out.
