Sunghoon's POV

Doctor: "she's fine" we all sighed and I felt the weight of auntie fall on my arms. You can never compare a mother's love... "although..." we turned to him alarmed again

Sunghoon: "is there something wrong?"

Doctor: "she's alright but she just has some lung complications since the weight of the car was too heavy for her and also she has a broken shoulder but don't worry she's fine. It's normal for car crash victims to have a broken shoulder due to the seat belts impact. She just needs a few months of medical care to return back to normal" I stiffened a bit but nodded

Sunghoon: "thank you doctor"

We entered her room and saw her on the hospital bed smiling at us. She had a bandage around her head and a cast on her shoulder and arm.

Y/N: "Mom dad Sunghoon!" We all rushed to her but of course I let her parents hug her first. After they finished asking if she was ok and all that stuff it was my turn

Sunghoon: "yah! Don't scare me like that!"

Y/N: "sorry I just wanted to be on time for your concert"

Sunghoon: "yes I know you do but look what happened to you" I gestured to her whole body and also the room. She looked down guilty and I know I crossed the line. She was already the victim and I was blaming her for it. It's not like she asked for it "I'm sorry..." she looked back up at me "you scared me and I thought you weren't gonna make it. You know how much I love you" I cupped her cheek and she sighed holding my hand

Y/N: "don't worry Sunghoon ah I love you too, I'll be careful next time" she smiled and I hugged her

Sunghoon: "I'm so happy you're ok" she chuckled, the door opened and we looked back just to be surprised "Pdnim!" I bowed 90° right away after seeing him. Shit he's gonna wonder why I'm here!

Pdnim: "I heard about your condition, are you ok?" He questioned y/n and I moved to the side to let him speak to her.

Y/N: "I'm ok sir"

Pdnim: "that's good oh also Sunghoon, what are you doing here?" I froze thinking of an excuse

Sunghoon: " I just wanted to see how y/n is doing sir" I smiled nervously and he looked at me suspiciously.

Y/N: "don't worry sir he just came to check on me" she gave me a reassuring smile and nod and I nodded back "anyway what are you doing here sir?"

Pdnim: "I'm here because I wanted to discuss something serious with you" I watched and paid attention to them seriously "I actually wanted to tell you that we want you to debut as a solo artist" I widened my eyes and y/n looked at me shocked. I broke into a laugh and gave her a thumbs up. She covered her mouth and faced Pdnim again

Y/N: "sir I don't know what to say... I'm happy but what about my condition"

Pdnim: "exactly, the Doctor said you needed a few months of rest right? Well if we could give you the best medical help will you agree to still debut with HYBE?"

Y/N's POV

Y/N: "is it alright if I talk about this with my parents sir?"

Pdnim: "of course no problem" he stood up and gave my parents a bow. He exited the door and my parents and Sunghoon approached me

Sunghoon: "congratulations y/n!" He kissed my forehead and held my hands

Mom: "congrats honey"

Dad: "so proud of you" I smiled seeing them

Y/N: "will you still let me debut?" My parents looked at each other giving unknowing looks but then my mom nodded and faced me

Mom: "it's your decision dear, we know it's been your dream to debut so if Pdnim says you'll get the best medical care he can then we trust him" I chuckled and started tearing up. I hugged my parents tightly and I hugged Sunghoon telling him how happy I was.

Y/N: "I promise to pace myself and to always work hard" my parents looked at me proudly and held my cheeks while tearing up looking at me

Uncle: "Sunghoon ah" my dad faced Sunghoon, and my mom and I shifted our attention to them "promise me you'll always protect y/n. Be there for her when she's having a hard time ok? Stay with her for us" my dad held his shoulders and Sunghoon nodded

Sunghoon: "of course, I promise to protect her" my parents smiled at each other and then to me

Uncle: "thank you for always being there for my angel"

Pdnim: "so y/n, will you still debut with us?"

Y/N: "yes sir, I will, but may I know how my circumstances will be?"

Pdnim: "we have to fly you to the states for your treatment since it's not available here. Once you can move around almost normally, that's when we can start training again until you're back to normal" I didn't know how to feel. I have to go to the states again just to get better? I mean I could see my old childhood places and stuff but still I'm gonna be leaving Enhypen especially Heeseung and Sunghoon.

Y/N: "when am I leaving?"

Pdnim: "once you're discharged, so that will be a week from now" 1 week? So once I get out of the hospital, it's straight to the airport and back to the States. Will I be able to see Heeseung at least one last time?

Y/N: "how about my stuff in the building?" I questioned hoping this excuse would give me the chance to explain to Heeseung. I'm scared that he'll be angry with me, Heeseung's the type to not trust easily. Our bond is already so strong I don't want to break it.

Pdnim: "don't worry I'll have them packed for you" I looked down. It didn't work :// I already agreed to it and I don't really have a choice. So I'm just gonna leave Heeseung like that? I broke my promise, I'm gonna leave him without saying goodbye, and I'm gonna leave him with nothing? Will it be like I just vanish into thin air?

Y/N: "excuse me for my questions sir but, since you said I'd be getting the best treatment, how long do I need to be away?"

Pdnim: "with proper training and proper medications, around a year" a year? That's so long...

Y/N: "oh ok sir thank you again"

Pdnim: "no problem" he stood up and walked out the door

Heeseung's POV

We never saw y/n again after we had our concert. It's been a week and we haven't heard anything from her. I tried asking Sunghoon since he was also close to y/n too but he avoided the subject and walked away everytime I tried to ask. I dropped to the floor after practicing for a long time. I panted a lot and chugged my water until the very last drop

Coach: "ok practice is over for today I'll see you guys tomorrow. And see you in a month Sunghoon" we all looked at him weirdly but he just chuckled and bid goodbye to our coach. I stood up and approached him.

Heeseung: "in a month? What's he taking about?" I questioned and I sensed the other members come up behind me

Sunghoon: "I'm just taking a short break guys, nothing big I just- have to be somewhere for a while" he said nervously like he wants us to believe everything he'll say

Jungwon: "Pdnim agreed to this?"

Sunghoon: "yes he gave me his approval"

Jake: "where're you going? What's so urgent you have to leave for a month?"

Sunghoon: "it's just some stuff ok? I'll be back don't worry" The other members nodded and left it at that but I was still suspicious. I followed him out when he was gonna refill his jug

Heeseung: "does this involve y/n?"
