Guns and glory (A Highschool DXD fanfic)

The fight for the future

When I arrived at the fight it was just as freed and a fat guy where leaving and I started running right after him. As we where running xenovia and kiba went off in another direction while irina and Matthias and I ran for the direction of the church on the hill. It was late and i tried calling Timor but it went to voicemail I still can't believe he recorded his voicemail while we where fighting a stray fallen angel on our first mission together when he joined Camelot. While I was trying to reach Timor Matthias called braydon the king of hearts. He said he could be here by morning that's only a few hours away. I hope we can make it we need the firepower. After a few hours Matthias went to look in the church direction and irina and I where walking down the trail when suddenly freed jumped out of a tree and attacked irina and I couldn't get a shot because I would hit her and suddenly I felt incredible pain in my back and there was a bright light coming through my chest I turned around and seen a fallen angel with 10 wings in the air. The last thing I seen was irina almost get hit and she looked at me with sorrow and fear and I heard her screaming my name. She then tried to get to me but she had to run and warn the others. I dropped my rifle and fell backwards the last thing I seen was the outline of somebody with red eyes.

(???) "stay with me Ace!! You can't di~~~"

I then passed out. Suddenly I found myself in a old airstream camper just laying on the couch with the smell of a barbecue just outside. Confused I got up and went outside and found a guy my age with jeans and a white t shirt on with a gunbelt on him it had a black revolver with red engravings with a pentagram on the dark wood grip and other demonic stuff on it and a silver revolver with gold engravings and a cross carved into its purl grip.

(???): "ah your awake. Would you like cheese on your burger?"

Alex: "sorry I don't mean to be rude but. Who are you and where am I and- -"

John: "whoa whoa!! Easy there buddy my name is Johnathan Flint and this is the afterlife. Currently we're in heaven."

Alex: "heaven!!!!! I can't be dead yet I still have so much to do!!!!"

John: "relax!!! Your not dead yet just very very close. I'm you from another timeline. I died saving the world and I have a favor to ask you."

Alex: "what can I do?"

John: "I want to ask you to take my sacred gear from me I don't want my baby girl to have the life we had the power of this gear will kill her because sona is her mother in my timeline."

Alex: "the holy energy would kill her..."

John: "exactly. This gear will also give you enough power to heal yourself before you die as right now sona is trying to save you but your so close to death she is failing."

Alex: "what is your sacred gear?"

He then pulled the 2 Colt SAA 45 revolvers out of the holsters and put them on the table. The black one had "despair" engraved into the barrel while the silver one has "hope" engraved into its barrel.

John: "hope and despair they're the remnants of  the angel of redemption (read gunslinger of kouh) the power of these guns will help you in the fights to come."

Alex: "anything else?"

John: "there might be a side effect because your so close to death. But I wouldn't worry about it. Probably nothing. Yeah..."

Alex: "ok... so what do I need to do?"

John: "just put it on."

He then took off the gunbelt and handed it to me. I then put it on around my waist and holstered hope and despair. And felt a surge of energy flow through my body.

John: "good luck Alexander Flint. Thank you for lifting this burden off of me. I can now rest in piece."

A white light engulfed me and I woke up alone in a house. I got up and put on my clothes and ran outside. A few blocks away I seen sona and her peerage where maintaining a magic barrier around the school.

Alex: "guess I'm needed."

I then ran to the school. When I got there I ran right through the barrier and seen the battle inside. Issei was fighting along side someone who was moving extremely fast and had those glowing red eyes I seen before. Matthias was on the ground in shock and so was xenovia and Asia. I then started walking over unarmed.

Alex: "HEY!!!! ASSHOLE!!!"

Rias: "Alex? Your alive?" She then fell to the ground.

Everyone was watching me walking up.

Alex: "you know shooting someone in the back is a cowards victory." My gun belt appears on my waist as I walk. "For my family and friends who you had killed I will have my vengeance!!!"

I then drew hope and despair and started shooting kokobile and even if he blocked with his wings they would just tare through them and into him.

Kokobile: "how is this possible? Your only human!! I killed you!!!"

Alex: "not quite. You will never be able to kill me I'm the Fucking Ace of spades!!!"

I then shot him again in his forehead and he fell over dead. Moments later the barrier shattered at the top and a guy in a white suit of armor flew down.

(???): "azazel isn't going to be happy. I was sent here to bring him back alive. Ah well. I can still bring his corpse and the stray priest to him."

I then put a Ace of spades on kokobile. And they flew away.

Braydon: "Ace? How? I watched you die..."

Alex: "so that was you braydon? Well I'm glad the king of hearts made it. But when did you become a vampire?"

Braydon: "well I became a full vampire when I thought you where dead and drank some of your blood to complete the transformation. But I was a half vampire after my last mission. I'm working with hellsing right now learning how to use my new abilities as a vampire."

Alex: "neat. I have a feeling I'm going to need some help too."

Braydon: "why?"

I then unfulfilled my new wings they where golden with black on the tips of the feathers.

Alex: "I have a story to tell everyone..."

Everyone was just standing there in shock.
