George spends the rest of the week hiding away in Dream's house, hiding from his family, from Dream, from himself. What had happened with his family is eating him up inside and the guilt from the memories he had finally retrieved is making things worse.

Dream has been trying his hardest to comfort his boyfriend, but the brunette just continues to blame himself. A bit of progress in his mental state is seen when George finally leaves the house to talk to Bad and Skeppy.

The blonde had insisted on going with him, but George continuously told him that he'd be fine. After hours, George returns back home and seems to be in a better mood, from what Dream is gathering.

"You look happy," Dream says with a smile, watching from the living room couch as George takes his jacket and shoes off. He saunters over to his boyfriend and sits next to him, immediately cuddling up to his side.

"I feel better after finally leaving the house and getting fresh air," George says, smiling and burying his head into the crook of Dream's neck. "I talked to Bad and Skeppy and thanked them for everything. I don't know, I just felt like I had to thank them again because I probably wouldn't be here if not for them."

"I'm glad you're feeling better," Dream smiles and plants a soft kiss on the Brit's head. "You should take me to meet them sometime. Last time I saw Bad was at the club."

George laughs and nods his head. "I remember that. You were all like 'Oh George who is this guy talking to you? Nobody talks to my George!'" George mocks his boyfriend, both of them laughing at the American accent he attempted.

"I did not say that! I didn't even sound like that!" Dream says, playfully elbowing the brunette. George laughs even harder now, holding his arms around Dream as if his life depends on it.

"Oh you so did!" George says in between laughs.

Dream crosses his arms around George and glares down at him. "It's because I was drunk!"

"Right, okay," George says sarcastically.

The two of them fall into fond laughter and talk of memories, and everything feels peaceful right now. Even though George had been constantly worried about everything, right now he feels as if nothing is wrong.

"George?" Dream says after a while of silence. He is unsure if the Brit has already fallen asleep, it wouldn't be the first time. George hums in response and looks up at his boyfriend. "I'm proud of you. I'm proud of you for being so strong and making your own decisions. Proud of you for standing up for yourself against your family, and I'm glad you don't have to worry about them anymore."

George finds himself nearly tearing up at the words. With Dream smiling down at him with such admiration in his eyes, it's difficult for George not to tear up.

"No, no, don't cry," Dream says softly, reaching down to wipe away his boyfriend's tears. George laughs a little but it sounds more like a choked sob.

"I'm sorry, I'm just- I'm so happy I'm here with you," George says, smiling up at Dream. "I guess it hadn't really hit me until now that I almost died. I almost lost you, lost everything."

"But you didn't," Dream says nicely, nearly tearing up himself at George's words. He wants to be strong for him, though, so he doesn't. "You're still here, and you're okay. Things will go back to normal in a while, better than normal even, I'm sure of it."
