Dating Remus is sweet and wholesome. Despite the chaos of his life, he always went out of his way to be the best boyfriend to you. Whether that was bringing you coffee to your late-night study dates or walking you to and from every class, even if it made him late to his classes, he made sure to do it without fail. It's the little things for Remus. Small details are what made your relationship special. An absent-minded back rub, a shoulder to cry on when needed, support at all the hardest moments of life, that's what sets you two apart from other couples.
He isn't super big on gifts, so for holidays and anniversaries it was all about quality time and experiences. For your first Valentine's Day together, he brought all your favorite snack foods up to the Astronomy Tower along with a cozy blanket and some candles and you sat there for hours, talking and watching the stars.
He was scared to tell you about his condition, but when he said he wanted to talk to you privately about something important, you were just so happy he wasn't breaking up with you that you couldn't have cared less about what he actually had to say. Plus, you'd basically already figured it out and it only took about thirty seconds of a Tickling Jinx to get Peter to confirm your suspicions.
On mornings after the full moon, you and the rest of the Marauders would sneak down to the kitchens and bring back breakfast so that when Remus woke up, you could all camp out in his dormitory, eat, rest, and catch up on homework.
When Remus was made Gryffindor prefect, you were the first person he told. Not his parents, not the Marauders, you. You could practically feel the excitement radiating off of the letter he sent you over the summer with the important news, and on the Hogwarts Express that fall you presented him with a brand new quill, made from the feather of a nearly-extinct species of hawk, as a congratulatory present.
The onset of the First Wizarding War brought uncertainty and turmoil to your relationship, but if there was one goal Remus had it was keeping his loved ones safe, and this included you. He was loath to let you join the Order and fight alongside him for fear that you would get hurt, or worse...
"If we make it out of this war alive, I'm going to marry you the first chance I get Y/N Y/L/N."
