Dating Harry would include a lot of emotions running high. Between his talent for attracting danger and the trauma he has had to endure throughout his life, a lot of your time together is spent comforting and reassuring him.

He's a needy boyfriend, but not in a way that makes you annoyed. He loves validation, and his love language is definitely words of affirmation. Every little thing he does, every spell he gets right in class or high mark he receives, he always gives you a quick sideways glance to see if you'll say anything about it. When he does something for you, like planning a surprise date, you always make sure to heap on the praise so he knows how much you love it.

Lots of study dates in the common room on one of the plush couches by the fireplace, your legs draped over his lap, quizzing each other on antidotes and notable names in wizarding history while the warm fire crackled in the background. Once or twice, you even fell asleep there, entwined on the couch, surrounded by papers and textbooks that had long since been abandoned.

Instead of meeting his parents, he took you to meet Mrs. Weasley and visit Sirius's grave when you two got really serious. Of course, Mrs. Weasley had already heard all about you from Harry and her son, but she loved you nonetheless because you were so good to Harry and she could see the positive impact you made on his life. When you visited the cemetery in Godric's Hollow after the Battle of Hogwarts, seeing the tombstones of Harry's parents, Sirius, and Lupin all lined up in a row, you were lost for words. Instead of speaking, you just wrapped your arms around Harry's waist and held him while he sobbed away his grief.

Harry is a really sweet, supportive boyfriend. He appreciates how much you listen to him and because of that, he's always looking for little ways to repay the favor. He's the type to surprise you with a small gift or token like flowers, chocolates, or a coffee first thing in the morning. Breakfast in bed is basically his specialty (although cooking really is not...)
