"WHAT ABOUT THIS IDEA for a song?" daniel suggested, showing them his notebook where he had scribbled down some ideas late last night after talking to sage at three in the morning.
the boy had no intent on staying up with her, especially when they both had to work early in the morning.
sage was off doing some youtube video with her sister and daniel of course was with the boys going over any new songs that they could create but seemingly they were short of ideas today.
"dude, all you seemingly are coming up with are love songs. you do realize that we all see what you're trying to do here?" zach questioned, being the closest to sage to know what was going on in their lives, also because kay told him what sage had explained to her in the pool.
"what're you talking about?"
"you're falling for sage. we all knew this was coming." jack commented, the group nodding as they all focused their attention on the dyed blonde boy.
"i care about her, a lot. i don't know what i'd do without her, right now. she keeps me company, we've kissed twice, she listens and lets me rant to her, she keeps me balanced. but i can't ruin what i have with her."
"this is about sage, right?" corbyn asked, daniel nodding. "you seemed to have realized that one wrong move and you possibly ruin this whole roommates thing. but honestly, the fact that she allowed you to kiss her the first time and she kissed you the second time- zach told me but anyways- maybe it's worth putting in a little bit more effort?"
"a little effort goes a long way, huh?" daniel sighed in a bit of a realization but still kept smiling as his mind kept thinking about that kiss. "how does zach even know?"
"you act as if i'm not even here. but kay told me and sage told kay. they are sisters- i'm glad they don't talk about my sex life-"
"gross, man. we don't even wanna know what you do with kay." jonah cut the youngest boy off who rolled his eyes annoyed but knew that none of them wanted to know.
"what if- i marry her?" daniel suggested, more to get a reaction out of the boys which it did.
jack choked on his red bull and started coughing, jonah almost fell to the floor in shock, zach and corbyn were the only two who knew he was messing around but held in their laughter.
"i'm kidding. i don't know enough about her." daniel explained to his two friends who were still in shock, jack taking a drink out of his red bull properly this time.
"well, what do you wanna know? i'm basically her best friend." zach offered the opportunity on a silver platter but daniel shook his head.
"i want to learn it from her. no offence to you at all, i just want her to know that i want to get to know her on more of a personal level than just listening to what others tell me."
soon enough, the boys called it a day and walked out of the studio and to their individual cars. when daniel arrived home, he was instantly greeted by the smell of sage's perfume which meant she just sprayed it, not that he minded.
"hey, pretty girl." he greeted once he found her in his bedroom, gazing around at the pictures on his wall and the achievements he's got framed with the boys.
"hey, sorry if this seems nosey. you always come into my room and i've never been in yours so i wanted to see what you had in here." she apologized, the boy shaking his head with a smile on his face, coming up to her from behind as she continued looking. "you're a very successful man, seavey."
by now, his arms were wrapped around her waist, comforting for both young adults who still didn't necessarily have their lives together yet did try to put the pieces in place.
"wanna watch a movie?"
"yeah sure- in here, my room or living room?"
"doesn't matter to me."
nodding at his words, the brunette girl disappeared and only came back with one of his hoodies on, it dangling down her comfortably as he was only shirtless and put joggers on.
"come here." he motioned her over, pulling the girl into his chest as she crawled onto the bed next to him.
"is this normal for roommates to do on a regular basis?"
"wouldn't know, i only cuddle with cute girls."
"seavey!"
"cook!"
"i like it when you call me ramirez." she fake pouted, her voice light and daniel chuckled, leaning down and pecking her lips which instantly removed the pout. "okay, i like it when you do that too."
"really?"
"why else would i keep cuddling with you and not yell at you, daniel?"
