"MY BESTIE!" KAY EXCLAIMED upon walking into the apartment with zach trailing behind his girlfriend, waiting to see daniel who clearly didn't know they had arrived yet.
"he's in the living room, zach." sage smiled, nodding in the direction she spoke of before taking kay's hand to show her some outfits she had recently bought.
"you ready for the double date?" daniel asked his best friend who nodded, knowing that both couples were either related to one another or best friends- which did help with making things not awkward.
"yeah man, kay seemed super excited to finally see you and sage out in public together."
"well we did go public with our relationship so we figured it was time to finally show everyone that she's my girl."
"you both seem really happy."
"we are, actually."
"do you think you're falling in love with her?" zach's question startled his friend, who shot him a look of surprise before settling back down.
"maybe? i don't really know as of right now. we just went public so i'm not sure if things are going to be the same, you know?"
"obviously, she's gonna get hate but from what i've seen on her account- there's barely any hate for you guys being together so maybe give thing a bit of a harder try?"
"true. thanks, zach." daniel spotted both of their girlfriends exit sage's bedroom. "you ladies ready to go?"
"as ready as i planned to be." sage giggled, holding out her hand for daniel to take once he walked up to his girlfriend while zach instantly had gotten up when he saw his girlfriend.
that night was the only night daniel and kay got along and after that, they never spoke to each other again.
