"I WAS THINKING ABOUT this and i- i really like you, sage."

daniel was talking to himself in the mirror, preparing himself for when he had to tell the girl what he truly felt about her.

"seavey, i'm ready!" she called, knocking on the bedroom door gently.

"just come in!" he replied, knowing she was still outside the door waiting for him.

upon entering, he turned around to face her, immediately adoring her look and just stared at her as she came up to him, her eyes meeting his while they both had a smile on their faces. their bodies laced together as they held each other in the other's arms, sage having to look up and daniel having to look down due to their height difference.

"you look stunning."

"thanks, seavey. you ready to go?"

"just give me one second."

riffling through his closet, he finally found what he was looking for and tossed it at the girl.

it was one of his many jackets, sage smiling as she pulled it on before daniel took her hand, their fingers interlacing as they headed out.

"you look good too, by the way." sage giggled, realizing she never did compliment the boy and by the time she realized, they were already at his car.

"thanks, babe." he chuckled, climbing into the vehicle before popping open her door as she then slipped into the seat next to him.

they spent fifteen minutes driving, talking casually about their day before arriving.

"dani, this place is stunning."

"i know, but i'll take you anywhere."

"i would much rather get pizza than sit in something as fancy as this." she joked, kissing his cheek as they were then lead to their table.

"what can i get you two to drink?"

"i'll get a water, she'll get an iced tea."

the waiter nodded, wandering back to the bar to get the drinks and returning two minutes later.

"here you are. i'll give you a few minutes to decide what you'd like to order."

"this stuff is way too expensive, daniel."

"i don't really care about how much things cost when it comes to your happiness, sage."

"i just don't like money being wasted on something that isn't necessarily my favourite."

"then what is your ideal date?"

"i would want to go to mini putt- glow in the dark of course- and then just have a pizza split between the two of us and just talk. it's the most enjoyable time i'd like to ever endure."

"i'll be sure to get that reserved for next time." he winked, sage blushing as she rubbing on arm out of habit.

"there's going to be a next time, seavey?"

they continued to joke around, enjoying their time together as they ate dinner, sipping on their drinks and admiring one another as they spoke- speaking about whatever rolled off their tongues.

"i had a really fun night, dani."

"me too, shall we go back to the apartment now?"

"surely you know i'm not one to stay at someone's place after the second date but- eh why the fuck not?"

"you're cute, sage."

"wouldn't be me if i wasn't cute."
