"DANIEL, I CANNOT BELIEVE that you let sage just go back to her room last night!" kay exclaimed over the phone after her sister had filled her in on the latest with daniel.
"you don't need to yell at me and burst my eardrum, jesus." daniel huffed as he readjusted his phone that was pressed up to his ear once more.
"she looked tired. i figured after the long day-"
"you were supposed to let her stay in your bed."
"but what's the point in that- oh." the boy took a few moments to realize but once it finally hit him, he ended the call and hurried into his roommates bedroom.
"so yeah, um this outfit is super cute, i love it more than i thought i would actually. seavey actually picked it out for me so yeah- outfit of the day i guess." she was talking to her camera which meant she was evidently busy but the second she realized the boy was in the frame, sage turned it off before standing up fully again, daniel getting a glimpse of the outfit that fit her body perfectly.
"can i ask you something?" she nodded for him to continue. "will you go out on one date with me?"
"seavey-"
"if it's a no, then we can't keep flirting, kissing, hugging continuously."
"it's not a no. it's a yes, just one thing first."
she grabbed her purse from the corner of the room, which utterly confused the boy.
"listen, we both have busy schedules. i want this probably as much as you do or even more. if you want to go on a date, then let's go for a simple one."
"but i didn't even have time to plan it-"
"seavey, i do not care. let's go for something that we both enjoy."
the boy agreed finally, sighing as his mind began to race while they headed to his car.
"i truly don't know where to go." he admitted finally, a bit stressed out as sage giggled, pulling out her phone and typing away before setting her phone on a stand while daniel realized she put an address into her phone and it was giving his the directions as to where to go.
after about a twenty minute drive, they arrived at a small green shop that sold a bunch of things, sage ordering an iced coffee just to make her day a little bit better, even though it was already pretty great just by being around him to begin with.
