"i don't think you should keep quoting daffy duck, babe." he chuckled, knowing she had watched space jam too many times ever since it was originally released.
they also had watched binge watched looney tunes as well as watching the original space jam movie.
"i'm literally not gonna win." she pouts, not necessarily understanding the game fully as they played but daniel quickly told her more about the controls and she slowly got the hang of it.
"you know, i would like to think i'm still a champ for having a boyfriend like you." sage giggled once they finished one round, daniel beating her.
"i think so." he fake smiled again, luckily her gaze was directed at the screen to not notice it.
he found himself always lucky that she turned a blind eye to his actions sometimes, especially the ones with fake smiles or all the frowning and guilt.
she knew something was bothering him but she didn't pressure him, knowing he would come to her if need be.
