Chapter I: Introducing Rosewood High And The New Jock
It was late summer and school just started. August air in Rosewood was never pretty; it was always humid and hot and even when it rains, it was only for five minutes, literally.
I came back to school a week late because I got stuck in New York with my cousin, Sara, and Rosewood High really is the last thing I'd look forward to in my life. Because trust me, that school is a hell hole that just randomly appeared in London.
It's as if they gathered around the fakest people on Earth and voila, you have Rosewood High School!
The whole school revolves around Amber Locks, Alizia Greene, Genie George, Angela Maurice, and Katelyn Knowles, the so-called "Angels". Really, don't mess with these five fabulous bitches. If Rosewood High is the movie Mean Girls (which it probably is), those five will be the plastics.
Amber as Regina, of ccourse, and Alizia, Genie, Angela, and Katelyn are her army of skanks. Mess with them, and they'd instantly turn your high school life into living hell.
Oh, and there's the famous "One Direction". The four most "skilled" football players in the city, consisting of Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, and Liam Payne.
I honestly don't know why do the girls in my school drool over them. They aren't even that cute or anything. These guys are animals. My friends and I call them the four asses. They aren't really that good in football, to be completely honest.
I'm pretty sure these bird brains are only good at senseless fucking whichever easy whore they desire. And of course, they have 95% of Rosewood High for that. The girls in my school will be their sex slaves if they wanted to.
And I'm not saying this as a sore loser, so don't think that. I'm saying this becayse it's the truth. The "Angels" and "One Direction" have probably tried a ninesome before too. Ew?
Thank God, I only have a year left in this hell hole. I'll be a senior next year and I honestly have never been so happy in my life before. I don't know what did I ever do in life to suffer in a hell of a school like Rosewood High.
I shoved in all of my books for AP Psychology in my locker and grabbed my books for Pre-Calculus for my next class.
"Arvina's back!" My friend, Josh, crept behind me with a big grin, hand and hand with Aeanne, my best friend in the whole wide world.
"Yep," I nodded and smiled back.
Josh and Aeanne weren't anything serious, but I suspected that they have at least a tiny bit of feelings for each other. It was obvious. Aeanne was just in denial and Josh stood oblivious about their situation.
"What took you so long to get back Little Miss Arvina?" Aeanne frowned, letting go of her drummer and pulling me into one of those "I Missed You" hugs.
"Sara needed me longer." I smiled, hugging back.
"Little Miss Arvina, Aya," Josh coughed, "I don't wanna interrupt your girly moments, but plastics are coming and the bell's about to ring."
The three of us separated and I walked in to Mr. Duran's class, my pre-cal teacher.
"Arvina Inderjit! Every teacher's favorite, I'm more than honored to have you in my class this year!" Mr. Duran greeted me with a huge grin.
"Teacher's pet." Amber faked a cough as soon as I was seated.
I rolled my eyes and whispered "great" under my breath.
After fifty-five minutes of sitting with Amber Locks in a torturous class, the bell finally rang. And believe it or not, I ran out.
I met up with Josh and Aeanne in the cafeteria and sat on our normal seat after we got our foods.
"Well, you'll never guess who's back." The blonde leader of the four asses smirked before knocking my food off the table.
"Get a life, Horan." I rolled my eyes, groaning.
"Ladies first." He grinned then walked away with his army of jocks right after.
"What an ass!" Aeanne practically yelled.
"Eh, used to it already." I just shrugged it off, picking up my now inedible food from the cafeteria's cold ground.
"Two more years." Josh sighed.
"Yeah, seriously." I laughed.
"You can have my sandwich!" Aeanne offered, trying to be nice.
"No, it's okay," I smiled reassuringly, "not hungry anymore."
I watched the two eat their food for a while, but soon my eyes started to roam around the cafeteria. For some odd reasons, my eyes landed on the jocks' table. Something was off. They usually doesn't let anyone sit with them, but instead of four asses, there were five of them.
The fifth kid had a marvelous brown locks with blonde strands in front and luscious dark chocolate eyes. He wore the same signature varsity jacket that the rest of the asses wore, his had a letter "Z", indicating his initianl, just like how Niall's had "N", Louis' had "LT", Liam's had "LP" and Harry's had "H". Though he looked like the rest of the asses, something about him was odd. He was minding his own business, not really bothering anyone around him, and he was sitting quietly, unlike the four loud ones.
"Are you looking at the fifth ass?" Aeanne asked, completely interrupting my observation.
"Ah, great. There's a new one?" I groaned, "what's his name?"
"Yeah," Josh nodded, "meet Zayn Malik. He's a transfer student from Bradford. I think he got expelled in three schools there, so his dad sent him here. That's the leader's childhood friend. His family moved in Rosewood over the summer."
"Explains how he got in the jock army so quickly." I half grinned.
Josh was the best source for everything. You could ask him about anyone and he'd give you a shitload of information as an answer.
He just nodded, smirking.
"That's how he got in? I thought it was because he's good in football." Aeanne frowned.
"He is, but even Ian Cox didn't get in the jock army, even though he's almost a heavenly football player."
"Makes sense." I mumbled, my eyes traveling back to their table.
The new kid faced my way, catching my melting stare at him. He smiled a little bit, locking his beautiful eyes with mine.
I was taken away from reality. I didn't expect I'd consider Zayn gorgeous.
He never took his eyes off mine and my heart almost dropped, feeling almost vulnerable as his eyes pierced through my soul, making me uncomfortably dizzy. There was something about him that was hypnotizing and I wanted to get to know that something.
Something about this Malik kid was different. One look and he started to amuse me so much.
What's this feeling? This feeling towards a jock can't be possible, right? I've never looked at a One Direction member that way before. Maybe, just maybe, he isn't as bad as the rest.
What's wrong with you, Arvina?! My mind practically scolded me. I just wanted to know his name. Just because he's new, just because he's quiet, it doesn't mean he isn't as bad as the rest. I needed to stop. I have to look away, but I just can't.
It may sound creepy and all, but looking at the fifth ass became so fucking addicting.
