It should have felt more thrilling to watch the monster that has destroyed so many lives, my life included but the heaviness on my heart that should have lifted knowing he was finally gone for good but it didn't

all I felt was anger and grief for all that had happened and for all that we had lost especially the past forty-eight hours the lives that been lost and ruined it didn't feel right not one bit

It was like my legs just became liquid and I fell helplessly to the floor tears sliding effortlessly down my cold cheeks looking around at the place where I once called home reduced to something I bearly recognized

the hand of my shoulder brought me out of my thoughts, I looked to see the concerned eyes of my twin looking down on me blood and dirt covered his face, I nodded as I accepted his hand as helped me up from the ground

Harry and I slowly walked back into the hall where the fallen had been placed for their loved ones to see them one final time before being transferred to the hospital, as we walked into the hall all the people who had fought in the war were getting seen to and helped with their injuries

James and Lilly were standing with other survivors of the war their arms wrapped around each in a warm embrace 

tears came to my eyes and I felt someone take my hand, I looked down to see Harry holding it and smiling at me, eyes tearing up in his eyes to and I turned to smile at him and looked back up to the hall to see everyone looked towards us and started clapping

James, Lilly, Remus who was holding baby teddy and seeing him made my heart throb with pain knowing he would grow up without his mother, the Weasleys and even members of the DA were clapping the hardest

Once everyone had stopped clapping, Lily and James came running up to Harry and me, hugging the life out of us and weirdly it felt nice

"I'm so glad your safe, I don't know what I would have done if I had lost you again," James said in my ear

I just nodded into his neck and I pulled back, "I may have not been raised by you but I'm so glad you survived " I said

Lily and James smiled at me, "It doesn't matter now we've got the rest of our lives to make it up to you as a family now" Lilly said

"Your mothers right the next few weeks are gonna feel like hell but we will get through this together as a family

I just nodded and looked to the Weasleys as fresh tears came to my eyes, I walked over towards then watching as Mrs Weasley stroked Fred's hair I approached her slowly "Mrs Weasley," I said

she turned to look at me and her eyes filled with tears, "Oh my dear girl" she said standing up and giving me a warm hug "I'm so sorry Molly," I said

she pulled back and looked back with tear-filled eyes, "Now you listen to me Elianna Gilbert my son loved you more this world and he knew what he sighed up for, so don't blame yourself cause we don't" she said firmly

I didn't anything I just nodded instead, I looked towards Fred then towards Molly and she nodded knowing what I was thinking

I knelt beside him stroking his hair back and took his cold hand in mine kissing his knuckles " I saw you grey and old once after one of your failed attempts at an ageing potion" I said smiling at the thought

the sounds of the sad laughs came from behind me, " I never thought that this would be the last time I would see you old, I had some many plans for our life together" I said sadly

I started lightly sobbing, "what am I gonna do without you, you were always supposed to be there my life has no meaning without you, so just please come back to me, don't leave me, come back to me please" I started shouting and sobbing
