After I had left the remains on my childhood home I made my way to the boarding house where Damon and Stefan explained that with the help of Matt they had got Elena to turn her humanity back on but was devasted by the things she had said and done

In a way I was glad that I hadn't been here for when she was going through her no humanity phase as I don't think I could have coped with seeing my sister like that or hear the things she said or had done

but the downside was that even her emotions were on they were dialed to rage due to her obsession of wanting to rip Katherine's head off which was something I could understand

After thinking of what Rebekah said to me it stuck to me and I realized she was right and deep down I always knew that I needed to talk to Elijah before the baby was born because as much as I hated to say it Draco was also right I couldn't stay mad at the world forever

it took me a full hour at me staring at my phone to get the courage to call him and when I finally did he answered almost straight away

Flashback

I started at the phone lying on bed staring at me as if it was silently judging me and whispering for me to do it

I took a breath and hesitantly pick up my phone scrolling down and finding Elijah's number and as soon as I found it my heart stopped at the thought of talking to him again after avoiding him for the past few months

but now was good a time as any so without a second thought I tapped on his contact and the phone instantly start ringing

Beep Beep Beep

"Elianna" he said

my breath hitched when I heard his smooth sexy voice but I couldn't get my words out it was if I was frozen in time

"Elianna, as much as I love that you calling, why are you calling" he asked

I took a breath, "Rebekah told me you knew about my pregnancy and that..." I trailed off

"that it may be my child your carrying" he finished

"yeah, and I owe it to my baby that he or she has the best life possible and if having you as their father in their lives it a part of that I will do it" I said

"even after everything I've done to you your still giving me the chance to be in the babies life" he asked

"it's not about you or me or what we need it's about the baby and what they need and they need a father" I said

I could hear him take a breath, "so where do we go from here" he said

"meet me tomorrow at cafe ritzo in Richmond at half ten and we'll talk then" I said

"I'll be there" he said

"good, I'll see you then" I said and hung up without hearing his reply

I threw my phone across the bed and took a big breath of relief now that the phone call was all over and lay back on the bed placing my hand on my bump staring at the ceiling thinking about the following day

talking to Elijah after so much time had gone by had my heart going hundred miles a minute even after all this time he still had the power to give me butterflies and make my heart pound in my chest
