As we drove up to the front of the my nerves were starting to kick in creating the butterflies that were currently dancing around my stomach especially the though of seeing Elijah and Kol again didn't help any

once the driver stopped a few seconds later he opened the door holding out his hand which I took as he helped me out the door so the didn't make myself look a fool such as tripping over

once I was out of the car safely he closed the door as I looked around the front of the house not realizing how beautiful it really was, the last time I was here I didn't really stop properly to see it

I turned back to him smiling, "thank you I forgot how hard it was to move in these dresses" I said

he smiled back, "no problem, I hope you have a wonderful evening," he said about to turn around as I reached into my purse pulling out some money

"hey wait a second "I said

turning around he gave me a confused look, "yes miss, is something wrong," he asked

shaking my head, "no... but I wanted to give you this as a thank you" I said giving him the money

he took it and looking shocked at my gesture, "Miss Gilbert, Mr Mikaelson did pay me well for driving you here tonight," he said

" I'm sure he did but think of this as a tip or a thank for helping when you didn't need to but you" I explained

he smiled, "well thank you miss your very kind," he said

nodded as he turned around pocketing the money getting into the car I turned back to the house walking to the entrance watching as people walked through the door

outside of the house had been decorated so beautifully and in that moment my nerves were starting to get the best of me as I walked through the entrance nervous about how the night would go.

I was standing near the stairs with my family anxious to see if Elianna would show up despite seeing her earlier and knowing that Kol sent her an invitation I still wasn't sure if she would

"Oh my god, is that Elianna Gilbert," a girl said as my whole family turned to see her walking through the door looking very nervous as she looked around

I felt my breath hitch as I stared at her and in that moment she looked perfect so gorgeous I didn't think I could come up with word that could describe her exactly but she sure did take my breath away

she turned to behind her as one of the coat check girls asked to take her shawl as she nodded with a bright smile on her face

"poor girl," a voice said beside us

"I'm sorry Mayor Lockwood I'm not sure whom you're referring to," Mother said

she raised her brow, "you were all looking at Elianna Gilbert weren't you" she asked

most of us nodded, "we she did create such a grand entrance it was hard to ignore but I still don't understand what you mean" Rebekah said

Mayor Lockwood just sighed, "that poor girl has been through so much in her lifetime more than she she should have and still she just picks herself back up every time" she said sadly

mother frowned, "yes I'm well aware of what my children has put her family through" she said

Carol just laughed confusing our family, "oh no dear I wasn't just referring to all that" she said
