it had been a week since running into that mysterious stranger at the bar I got a call from Elena wanted me to come home straight away something about a spider in the sink or something like that

I guess I had been in denial after Bonnie told me about the vision her grams showed her as I kept telling myself that it couldn't be true and I had so far been effectively avoided her

as it turned out Klaus had made an appearance a few days ago scaring Elena shitless and making us all even more edge although I had never met him before now

from what Elena told me after Stefan had stopped us from killing Klaus her had stole the coffins that he had kept his family in plus one that was locked hoping it would help them take him down

after they refused to help find his family he got very vindictive by having one of his hybrids to run down Jeremy but it ended up being Ric as he pushed him out the way but it was all the same to him

but it wasn't for Ric as although had had died with the ring on when he came back it hadn't healed properly and when called for the hybrid that ran him over compelled them to leave

he tried to demand his way into the house but seemed to be confused to who I was when he noticed me but before Elena could make a decision Jeremy staked him in the back and he fell to the floor

Jeremy marched past saying he wasn't dead but coming back with a knife before chopping his head killing him permanently shocking both Elena and I as we never excepted he would do this

while trying to clean up the step Elena strode past saying she was going to end this and when I asked where she said she was going to make a deal with Klaus by giving him Rebekah

a small detail they left out was that Elena had daggered Rebekah at homecoming only weeks earlier hoping that would keep Klaus from going after Jeremy for good

after she returned later on that evening not long later Damon showed making me feel awkward knowing how he felt about Elena but also that I had been avoiding him so I left them to it

they had tired to stop me from leaving but it didn't have it in me to have another argument about this which told them all they need about how much I knew

Flashback

I walked into the hallway as the door opened and Damon walked in stopping in his step as he saw me standing there

I sighed, "don't stop on my account please come" I said walking into the kitchen

he must have followed me through as he went over to Elena making me take a big deep breath as I watched them interact

"did you get rid of him" Elena asked as he walked over

"yeah, tony the headless hybrid is now at the bottom at stevens quarry" he said

"what about Alaric" she asked

"took care of him too, he'll be fine" he answered as he watched Elena clean a bloody rag

"how are you" he asked her

I think I got most of the blood of the porch" she said avoiding the question

"Lena, look at me" he said as she turned to him, "It's going to be okay" he said

she sighed and she bloody cover head to push hair out of her face, " I have to tell you something she said stepping closer to him
