As soon as I was transferred into the delivery suit my shorts and panties were slid off and a sterile sheet was put in it's place over my open legs it wasn't the best feeling in the world

the pain that was going through was unbearable and I felt bad for Meredith for squeezing her hand nearly breaking her hand with every push

Dr Scolly poked her head up, "your doing amazing Elly, one more push and you'll have you baby" she said with a smile

Meredith kissed my forehead, "you're doing great El almost there" she said

I winced as a contraction ripped through me, "ahh god, that man better run before I get my hands on him, that bloody Salvatore" I screamed with

Meredith, Dr Scolly and the two nurses smirked with amusement, "and he'll deserve it sweetie" Mer said

"just one more push and you'll have your son" Doc said

shaking my head, "I can't do it, I'm just so tired" I said feeling my eyes drooping

"yes you can your so strong you can do it, just one more" Mer encouraged

"now I want you to count to three and give the biggest push you can alright" Dr Scolly said

I nodded, "okay I can do this" I said

"yes you can so when the next contraction comes I want you to push with all your might," she said

I nodded and started to count in my head as the next contraction ripped through my body and with the Mer's help I sat up and pushed with all my strength until I felt something slip out of me

all of a sudden I heard the first cries of my baby fill the air and my heart filled with joy and relief as I lay back with happiness as

"you've got a health baby boy, 3 pound 2 ounces and 18 inches" a nurse announced while she wrapped in hug and Dr Scolly took him from her and brought him over to me

she smiled as she approached me before placing him on my chest against my heart and I warmth filled me as she did so

I peered into the blanket as he moved and he was so beautiful with tuffs of black hair and as he opened for the first time I could see he had my green eyes, at that moment I don't think I could love anyone as I loved this little human I was holding

I felt my eyes well up, "I have just been dying to meet you darling" I said as he snuggled against my breast

I noticed a bright flash and looked to Meredith as she shrugged her shoulders, "what, we need as many pictures of this moment as we can" she said innocently

I rolled my eyes turning my attention back to my son, "your aunty Mer is silly isn't she yes she is" I said talking to my son

An hour later I was transferred into the maternity ward and was nursing my son while Meredith took random pictures of us wherever she could

Eva had finally returned after she had left to look after her younger siblings and we so happy when she had finally got to meet the baby and took pictures of all of us including Mer with the baby

Dr Scolly had took James away to examined him and gave him a clear bill of health also that he strong and healthy despite the premature he seemed fully developed which seemed like a miracle

but what she didn't know was that it wasn't just him being fully developed or that his birth was a miracle but his conception but I guess I just counted my blessing he was alright
