Noah's POV (please forgive any typos spelling grammar and word choice errors ❤️)

"Come on" Pax said quietly to me

I slid out of the booth and he followed behind me since I was on the end

Pax put the money for both of our meals on the table and then brought me outside to his car and sat me down in the passengers seat

"Noah. Talk to me" Pax said squatting in front of the open door and taking my hands in his own.

"My mom told me dad was either busy or didn't want me around. She lied." I whimper.

"Why" I ask hoarsely

"I don't know baby" he said embracing me tightly

"Want me to take you home" he asked kindly and I shake my head. I couldn't. Not when my mom is lurking around.

"Alright. We can either go back to mine or do whatever you want" I nod against his shoulder and sigh.

We slowly untangle from our hug and he looks at me like he sees past me and my stupid family drama

"Noah are you ok" Ruby asks while running closer to us. What seemed like forever in my own world with Pax was only about fiver to six minutes in reality which I don't blame them for not being here sooner. They had to pay for their food and stuff and box it which was in Nyx's hand.

He set it down and came over with a worried expression

"Yeah I guess" I said and Ruby hugged me which was quickly followed by Onyx

"What happened" they ask not knowing the full situation since they were seated at the center of the half circle booth while Asher was next to them and on his other side was Pax and I.

"Um so my mom called when we just about got our food"Onyx interjected

"I thought Nick called"

"Uh yea after. So I answer and we talked a bit and it was fine until I could faintly hear the door bell ring. Then your mom answered the door and mine came barging in yelling and dad though he hung up but didn't and I heard the whole argument." I said quietly

"We might go back to mine or do anything he wants. You guys are welcome to join but if you go to your house and Nick asks where Noah is you can tell him with me so he doesn't have to worry as much." Pax says.

They nod.

Soon both Ruby and Onyx's phones ring and they grimace a bit

"Mom and Nick want us home."

I nod and see my phone also says the same but I ignored it.

"I'll see you guys later tonight yeah?" I ask the twins and they nod.

Ruby hugged me goodbye and Nyx awkwardly waved bye.

"Come on" Pax said and I turned around in the seat now sitting properly instead for facing the door with my legs hanging out of his car.

He closed the door and went around to the drivers side and got in

"What do you want to do"

I shrugged

"We can drive around for a bit. Then go to my house ok" he asked and I nodded.

While we were driving it stared to down pour and the roads were even starting to retain some water.

"Let's start heading to my place" Pax said and I just said a low ok

Once we arrived Pax brought me up to his room and went to talk with his parents.

I loved his room it had a warm and cozy feel to it with dark browns and other neutral colors and had his swim ribbons metals and trophies.

I didn't sit down due to the fact I didn't want to get his bed wet.

"Hey. How about we change and I put your clothes in the dryer" I had left my backpack and everything except for my wallet and phone in the car Ruby Onyx and I share

"I'm sorry" I say

"Noah it's fine. Don't be. I get it and I'd be upset too"

He handed me a shirt and flannel pajama bottoms.

The were a bit big on me but manageable since it was a size or two bigger

He flopped down onto his bed

"C'mere" he said and I blushed but crawled up next to him and cuddled into his side.

"Can I ask you something" I asked him

"Shoot"

"What are we"

"Whatever you want Noah. I want to move at your speed" he said rolling to his side so he was facing me instead of the ceiling.

"I-I" I frown

"I like you" I admit and he smiled softly

"And I like you but the question is are you ready or want a relationship" I nod and put my head into his chest

"Alright then. Noah Bennett will you be my boyfriend" I blush and nod

"Verbal answer baby I want to hear it" I could hear the slight smile in his voice

"Yes Pax I'll happily be your boyfriend" he cuddled me closer and kissed the top of my head

"Whatever happens and has happened we'll work through together" he said and put his forehead to mine and leaned in slowly. My brain was all fuzzy with anticipation and I nodded repeating

"together" he smiled and said

"Yes together" and he leaned in and kissed me slowly and softly

And soon I fell asleep in his arms
