It was now officially winter break and Pax's birthday was so close and I was so excited. I walked into town with my backpack on and walked to Amelia's diner

"Hey Amelia" I said walking into the diner and taking off my scarf.

"Hey darlin what's up" she said and I smiled

"I need a cake and a cupcake for Pax's birthday in a few days" she smiled excitedly

"What kind of cake" she asked and I thought for a minute before answering

"A cheese cake" she nodded and started writing things down

"How big"

"Medium please if you can" I told her

"Anything topping it" she asked and I nodded

"Maybe one of those chocolate plaque like things that says happy birthday"

"I thought Pax doesn't like much attention from what I've seen" and I grin

"He doesn't I'm doing something special and the cheesecake and party is somewhat of a decoy for what I have really planned"

"Ok" she smiles and continues

"And what for the cupcake" she asked intently

"A German chocolate cupcake"

"Alright sweetie anything else" I shook my head

"You're invited by the way it's just going to be his friends family and a few other people"

"You're only inviting me because I'm making the cake" she said while scowling in a joking manner

"Maybe" I said joking back and she smiled

"Thanks Amelia I gotta go thank you so much"

"Anytime sweetie" she called as I walked out of the diner and to another place to finish up the preparations for Pax's birthday

Two days later

"Hey baby" Pax said as I answered the face time

"Happy birthday" I said and he smiled

"So my mom wanted to take me out to breakfast. Yay" he said sarcastically

"I heard that" his mom said from the front seat

"Ooo I'm so scared" Pax said jokingly and turned the camera  around to where I could see his mom

She was glaring at him and I just laughed at their exchange. While all this was going on his dad was driving and his sister and  brothers were sitting around him

Elijah his oldest brother is twenty two and had been away studying at college and came back for winter break.

"Mom Emma keeps kicking my seat" Elijah say complaining about his thirteen year old sister

"Emma" Pax's mom says warningly

"I'm sorry him and his gigantic body take up so much room. Same with the other two meat heads" she complained

I laughed while this was going on and Pax's younger brother just muttered insults to his little sister

"I wanted to ask if you could come over tonight" I asked and his mood instantly picked up

"Course" he smiled and then he had to go because they had arrived at the place they were going for Pax's birthday breakfast

A few hours after I had face timed with Pax, Amelia had arrived with her husband Eli with the cheesecake and the German chocolate cupcake
