"Noah my darling" Amelia said once she saw me and guided me into a hug. Amelia's husband Eli is a therapist and I went to him after my mom kicked me out and since Rebecca is married to my dad she treated me like her own son.

"Now who's this" she said raising her eyebrow when she saw my hand connected to Pax's hand.

"This is my boyfriend Pax" I smiled slightly as I said and she nodded with a smile of her own

"Come on sit sit" she said ushering is to a nearby table and taking the order pad out of the pocket in her apron.

"What would you like" she asked me and I just chuckled

"My usual" I told her and she wrote it down anyway even though she knows what it is.

"What's she writing down" Pax asked quietly as Amelia wrote down an order unknown to the him and handed it to Paul who also worked at the diner soon she came back with a tray containing two pieces of coconut cake which I loved and two hot chocolates

My two most favorite things she had on the menu to have during winter.

Pax and I talked with Amelia and just had a great time eating my favorite cake of all time and being together in a warm loving place. Amelia really knew how to make the perfect atmosphere and I was grateful

"Hey anything you want to do before we head back" pax asked me and I nodded. I know he'd enjoy what I want to do and will definitely enjoy some alone time together

Pax and I sat hand in hand stargazing and just relaxing in each other's company as well as wrapped up in our winter jackets along with many many blankets sitting atop of his car.

"Baby it's getting way to cold to be out here. I think it's time we head back" he said and I nodded sleepily.

He took the blankets off of him and hopped down off of his car and I slid down into his awaiting arms once he was on the ground.

He then drove me home and brought me inside

"Hey Rebecca" pax said while walking me into the house

"Hi boys. Want some hot chocolate" she asked and we both nodded eagerly

"My sister didn't fill you both up on too much sweets did she" she asked and we both shook our heads no. Even though Amelia had a pretty good hot chocolate Rebecca's hot chocolate was even better.

Pax eventually had to go home and I was somewhat annoyed and relieved at the same time. It's been hard keeping what I'm planning for his birthday a secret but I still want to be with him.

"So do you have anything good planned for his birthday" Rebecca asked me while sitting next to me on the couch with a steaming cup of coffee in her hands slowly sipping the piping liquid

"Yea I want to throw a party with all friends and family. I know pax doesn't like all the attention on him but I have a plan which I'll keep a surprise for later." I smile. Rebecca put her cup down on the coffee table and hugged me

"I'm so proud of you and just know I'm always here for you. I may not be your mother but I see you as my son" she said and I nodded hugging her back. Rebecca has pretty much always been in my life and I always viewed her as a motherly figure in my life when my own wasn't such a great mother and for that I am eternally grateful

"I know. I see you as a mother figure too Rebecca" I said and she was brimming with happiness

"I think im going to call it a night" she said once she finished her coffee and put the mug in the sink while I was writing and planning thing for Pax's birthday

"Night" I said as she went to go upstairs

"Night honey" she said and went upstairs to bed.

After doing a few more things to plan pax's party further I decided to call it a night after I texted pax

Noah
"Night Pax❤️"

Pax❤️
"Night baby see u tomorrow❤️"

Noah
"😘"

Pax❤️
"🥰"

I quickly changed into a pair of pajama pants and a oversized sweatshirt for bed both of which I stole from pax at some point throughout our relationship and months that neared the dead of winter.
