At rosewood high school Ava, Amanda, Claire, Savannah and Abby use to be best friends did everything together Savannah and Abby use to date before tragedy struck the group hard when Abby's dad went on a drunken rampage and killed Abby and her mother, in freshman year of high school, after her unfortunate death Ava, Amanda, Claire and Savannah grew apart from each, Savannah and Claire are sisters and after Abby's death their family thought that it was best to move away, Ava and Amanda stayed good friends though, now it's sophomore year of high school, Claire's and Savannah's family has moved back to rosewood
One night at a bowling alley Amanda and Ava are there with another friend Dylan, Ava is facing the lanes and Amanda is looking straight ahead at the other lanes, Dylan is bowling Amanda sees that Claire and Savannah walk in with another guy
'Oh shit!' Amanda whispers, Ava looks at her confused
'What is it?' Ava whispers, Dylan sits down beside Amanda
'Savannah and Claire are here with a another guy' Amanda whispers
'Behind me?' Ava whispers, Amanda nods yes
Then Claire and them walks up to the only lane that's open beside them on the left side
'Well, well, look at what the cat drag in' Savannah says, she walks up to them, Amanda and Ava looks at her
'Well isn't Ms. Savannah Vanderwaal Montgomery and Claire Vanderwaal Montgomery, what a nice surprise' Ava says
Savannah is wearing a white tank top and blue jeans, cowboy boots too, Savannah smiles and Claire walks up to them
'Wow, you guys have grown since last year' Claire says, Ava and Amanda chuckles
'This is our friend Dylan' Amanda says
'Nice to meet you' Savannah says
'You too' Dylan says
'And this our friend Andrew' Claire says, he walks up to them
'Hi' Andrew says
'Hi' everybody says, Dylan can't take his eyes off of him, Amanda notices Savannah's tattoo on her right wrist
'Well me and Sava got the same tattoo' Amanda says
she shows them Abby's tribute on her right wrist and Savannah shows them her tribute tattoo, Savannah smiles
'She's still with us' Savannah says
'I been trying to talk this one into getting one too' Amanda says, she looks at Ava
'Same here with Claire' Savannah says
'Well probably just like Ava I don't like needles' Claire says
'Thank you Claire, i always liked you the most' Ava says, they laugh
'I need some of Abby's bowling skills because I suck' Amanda says
'What's your score?' Savannah asks
'Our friend Dylan has 125, i have 115, and poor Amanda has 86' Ava says, everybody starts laughing
'Ok um you need some help?' Savannah asks
'Yes, can you bowl for me just once please?' Amanda asks, she does the lip thing like Michelle does on full house, Savannah smiles
'I could never tell you no' Savannah says, she kisses her on Amanda's forehead, Amanda smiles
'My ball is the red light one' Amanda says
'Got it' Savannah says
Savannah gets Amanda's ball and throws it down the lane and gets a strike, Amanda gets up and walks up to Savannah
'I love you forever' Amanda says
Savannah chuckles and Amanda hugs her, Savannah hugs her back, they hug for a little bit too long then they both pulls away from each other and looks at each other, they both feels a spark between them but Amanda just brushes it off because Savannah isn't probably ready to date just yet because it's only been a year since Abby has sadly pass away, they both walks up to the others Amanda sits down beside Ava, Ava noticed something between them too while the others talk to each other

After bowling they all decides to get something to eat but Dylan and Andrew let them have some alone time to catch up on things
'How you guys been?' Ava asks
'After Abby's death we went to therapy and I think it worked a little bit for Sava here but a lot more for me' Claire says
'She said that I'll probably be grieving for a long time but she said something interesting and that was Abby would want me to be happy and move on Abby knows that it well be hard for me to do that but she knows that its something that I have to do in order to fully heal, i think that's what lead us back to each other, we need each other right now' Savannah says
Claire puts her hand over Savannah's hand so does Amanda and Ava
'We will be here for you guys too' Amanda says
'Yeah always' Ava says, she looks at Savannah when she said that and Savannah smiles
'Thank you' Savannah says, they decide to move on to a lighter topic

Amanda and Ava gets back to Amanda's house they walk in Ava's bedroom
'So when are you going to make your move?' Ava asks, Amanda puts her bag on her makeup chair and looks at Ava
'What are you talking about?' Amanda asks
'On Sava, i noticed that something happened between you guys when you guys hug earlier' Ava says, she sits down on Amanda's bed, Amanda blushes
'Ok I might have a little crush on her but I don't think that she's ready to date just yet' Amanda says
'Yeah, give her some more time to fully heal, its only been a year since Abby has sadly pass away, eventually she will be ready' Ava says
'Should i tell her how I feel but tell her that I respect her decision to not date just not yet' Amanda says
'If you want to you can, just be gentle with her because right now she's sensitive' Ava says
'Right, what about you and Claire I saw you two playing footsie with each other under the table at the restaurant' Amanda says, Ava smiles
'I don't know yet, we have to get know each other again, you know?' Ava says
'Yeah, i know same way with Sava too, ok enough about crush drama, you wanna spend the night?' Amanda asks
'Sure, my mom already knows I told her' Ava says
'Same here' Amanda says, they change and gets ready for bed
