"Shes okay Caius, I was with her the whole time," Demetri said.

I turned onto my side looking at Caius and Demetri.

"You should've told me,"

"Im fine Caius," I said to him.  "Im perfectly fine," I whispered.

"Dont do that again," he said.

I looked down not liking the way he said that.

"I promised I wont leave again Caius but I need freedom," I looked down. "I wont leave again, I promise, I know you're scared to lose me but you wont,"

He hugged me tightly. "It's just safety percautions as we dont know if Aro will hurt you," he sighed.

"I know," I said with a sigh hugging him tightly.

"How do you feel? Your stomach?"

"It's sore but tylonal is managing the pain," I sighed.

He nodded, "Carlisle is coming later today," he said smiling.

I nodded. "You said he wasnt a psychiatrist?"

"No he is not but he has been in the medical field for 300 years. He studied many different fields," he paused "Trauma, Neurology, Cardiology, Orthopedics, Psychiatry," he said.

I looked completely shocked.

"Hes a vampire darling," he said.

"No no I know that its just 300 years? Doesn't someone get tired of the same thing?" I asked

"Im actually older than Aro," he said.

"No way," I gasped.

"I was born in 1300 BC, Aro in 1340 BC," he said.

I looked up at him intrested.

"I dont remember exactly who turned me. Most of my human years are gone,"

"Were you in a relationship before me?" I asked just curious.

"Yes. When I was a newborn I was with Athenodora," he said. "She was a vampire but got in a cross fire with another vampire and was killed. I remember losing control of myself, feeding, killing. Then I met Aro and he asked me to join him together. Saying I can have everything and anything I want," he whispered. "But it wasn't just as easy as that. I didn't exactly know what I was getting myself into. Being a leader of the Volturi. Making decisions, making rules, enforcing rules, executions, I didnt want that, but I had no choice but to stay," he said.

"How come?" I asked and moved close.

"Most likely Chelsea. Aro has her close especially finding new guards. She makes them detach from their family, friends and have come come here. When using her gifts people become calm and content and have an attachment to us. Later Marcus joined. He met his mate there. It was Aros sister. But they wanted to leave, together. Aro had killed her. He never admitted to it but everyone here knows," he paused. "She had a gift. To make everyone happy. Thats why Marcus is so...."

"Tired," I said. "Depressed. He gets joy in seeing me," I said.

"Yes," Caius looked down.

"Jane and Alec were next. Aro had watched them since they were children. They were kind of in the same position as Aro when he had changed. They accused of Alec and Jane of witch craft and saved them," he said.

"Felix and Demetri?" I asked.

"Felix was changed by Aro. He doesn't remember his human. He has a permanent position on the guard along with Demetri, Jane, and Alec. He is a lesser down guard you can say. But still remains permanent unlike some who can... easily be replaced," he spoke.
