CAIUS P.O.V

.

.

.

I arrived back at the castle and headed to go get Izzy. I knocked on Alec's door. He answered.

"Where's Izzy?"He asked.

"She left," he sighs.

"Left?! Alec you had one job you had to watch her... keep her safe! Not let her leave!" I glared at him.

"Caius she remembered what I did. She wouldn't stay. She hit me and I didn't want to hurt her so I just let her go," he looked down.

"How could you let her go Alec? She is my mate?!?!"

"She's not alone...  I heard Demetri. She has her, they are out on walk. Now take this time while she is gone and find out who did this to her."

I sighed. "Fine."

I left the room angrily. Who would've done this? Felix? Aro? Marcus?

I headed to Felix knocking on his door.

"Come in," he hollered.

I entered his room. "Felix can I talk to you for a moment?"

"About what?" he asked. He was sitting at his desk. His chair turned to where he was facing me.

"My mate," I sighed.

"If you think I did that to her, you have hit a dead end," he sighs. "I wouldn't hurt her."

"How do I know you're telling the truth?" I questioned.

"Because I wouldn't want anyone hurting my mate in any way. With that said, I wouldn't dare do that to yours," he sighs.

"Did you see her at least? Where she was going when she ran off? Where was she heading?"

"I... heard loud footsteps down the hall, and I opened the door to check it out, and I saw her. She seemed... Angry... furious... frantic. She was going somewhere. It could've been to the Throne room or just to leave the building. But by the look of her face, it seemed as if she was going to scream at someone."

I nodded and sighed.

"Why was she upset Caius?" he asked.

"She found... I told her that her mother... that we killed her mother."

Felix immediately looked down. "You didn't tell her it was me?"

"No... I just said that Aro had ordered someone to kill her," I sighed.

"Do you think?"

"He's on my list," I nodded.

"I'm just going to check in with a few more people... maybe to see it it's actually possible. I don't want to accuse him of something he didn't do," he sighs.

Felix nodded.

"Thank you for talking to me."

"Of course Caius," he said.

I left the room and headed to Marcus, who was sitting in the library.

"Marcus, can I have a word with you?" I asked.

"Of course Caius," he said putting his book down.

"You know my mate right? Izzy?"

"Yes, she's such a sweet girl," he smiled. "I'm sorry for what happened to her," he said.

"Marcus. Someone here did it. Who was in the throne room when it happened?"

"Why do you ask?" he tilted his head.
