Caius and I were back home. I did feel much calmer, but I still couldn't get over seeing and well now hearing Peter. Caius had Demetri contact Carlisle when we were gone, and Carlisle was now on his way.

I was very tired. I was 100% getting sick. I curled up in bed snuggled up with one of my stuffed animals that my mother gave me. I was half asleep when Caius touched my shoulder, "It's time to wake up, Carlisle will be here soon," he said.

"Wake me up when he is here," I grumbled, pulling the covers back over my head, "I don't feel good."

"You need to eat, you haven't eaten all day Izzy," he said.

"Not hungry," I mumbled before I drifted back off into sleep, I heard Caius sigh.

.

.

"Izzy," I heard a voice call. I groaned when I recognized the voice. It was Carlisle.

"Sleeping," I mumbled.

"Izzy, I need you to wake up," he said.

"Let me sleep," I said and attempted to pull the blankets over my head. I did not feel good at all. I was freezing cold. When the blanket fell off of me, I whined. Grumpily, I sat up, "What," I let out a puff of air.

Carlisle sat down on a chair that was next to the bed, "How are you feeling?" he asked.

"Annoyed... Tired," I sighed.

He nodded, "Caius said that you didn't feel good. I know you had a head injury a little bit ago. He thinks it pay possibly be related. What are your symptoms?" he asked.

I sighed and gripped the blanket and wrapped it around me, "I just don't feel good. It's a cold, nothing more. I have a headache, I am cold, I am sniffily, moody," I started to list off things that I felt.

"Caius said something happened earlier? He said that you saw Peter and heard him?" he asked.

I took a deep breath, "I know it sounds crazy, but I did. I saw him and I felt him. It was real. It was like he was right here," I whispered, "I felt his touch. It was so real," I whispered. "I also heard his voice a few times in my ear," I whispered.

He nodded, "What happened when you saw him?" he asked.

I took a deep breath, "I woke up and Caius went to make me some breakfast and when I laid back down, I felt an arm go around me. It was warm. It was a human. I knew that arm from anywhere. It was Peter's arm. When I turned around, Peter was there. He was right there," I paused, "I felt his touch. I felt his kiss," I looked down, "He told me that what we had was just barrowed time. That I wasn't meant for him and that I belonged here, with Caius," I closed my eyes, "He said he would always be here with me," I placed my hand over my heart where he touched me. "It was so real," I looked back up at Carlisle. "He told me he loved me, and I told him that I loved him. I closed my eyes and when I opened them, he was gone," I finished.

He nodded, "Okay, let's get a few brain scans. You said you had a headache, how long has that been going on?"

"Since I woke up. I'm sure it is just a migraine. I'm pretty sure I have a cold. It sure feels like it," I sighed.

He nodded, "I'm going to get some vitals, and I will call and set up the MRI," he said and stood. He went to his bag and grabbed out a manual blood pressure cuff. I extended my arm out to him. I stayed quiet while he did so. He then touched my wrist and took my pulse., "Your blood pressure and pulse are slightly high," he went and grabbed a thermometer. I opened my mouth as he placed it under my tongue. When it beeped, he took it out, "You do have a fever,"

"I'm fine, I just don't feel good," I said.

"We will get some scans and go from there, okay?"

I nodded and rested back, "Fine," I sighed not wanting to argue.

"I will get this set up," he said.

I nodded again.

I was rocking Lilith when Carlisle knocked and entered Caius's and my room. "Hey," I said and looked up at him.

"How are you feeling?" he asked.

"Fine, just tired," I shrugged.

"I reviewed your scans, everything looks just normal," he said and sat down.

"Thats good," I sighed, but what was the answer to why I saw Peter? Was I dreaming? Was I hallucinating? "Carlisle?" I whispered to him. I stood and placed Lilith in her crib once she was asleep.

"Yes?" he responded.

"Why do you think I saw, heard and felt Peter? What is wrong with me?" he asked.

"Truthfully, I don't know. It could be a hallucination or could have been a really vivid dream," he said. "It could also very well be a trauma response,"

I nodded, "What," I started, "Never mind," I whispered and shook my head.

"What is it Izzy? You can talk to me," he said.

"What if it was real?" I whispered.

"What do you mean?" he asked.

"What if it was him," I paused, "Hear me out," I took a breath.

He watched me and nodded, waiting for me to continue.

"What if it is really him... visiting from the afterlife? Like a ghost? It could be possible. I mean? Maybe? I don't know. It's probably all in my head," I said quickly once I realized how crazy I sounded.

Carlisle didn't speak for a few moments, "Let's just monitor it for now? It could have just been a one-time thing,"

"Twice," I corrected. "Once in bed and the other in the car,"

He nodded and didn't speak for a few moments.

Yup.

All in my head.

I know that look.

"You think it is all in my head?" I sighed.

"I didn't say that" he sighed.

"Do you believe in the afterlife?" I asked.

He nodded, "I do," he said.

I nodded and took a deep breath, "So what do I do?" I asked.

"We will monitor it. I want you to keep a journal and document when you see or hear him," he paused, "I will be back in two weeks to see if this continues or not," he said, "If it does, we can try increasing your medications. If that doesn't help then we will investigate more," he said.

I nodded, "I'm not crazy," I whispered.

"I know you aren't. You just have been through a lot in such a short amount of time," he said.

"We will figure this out, right?" I asked.

"Yes Izzy, I promise,"

I got up and hugged him tightly.

"We will figure this out and Caius and I will be by your side every moment," he embraced me in his arms.

"Thank you, Carlisle," I whispered.
