"You really thought I'd let you get away with that Huh, you filthy vermin?"

"N-No,No .. please sir just leave me be, I'll change, I promise-"
Words being silenced by a by a hand being shoved in his nose as Vincent slams the capybara into the wall behind him.

Blood drips from Lenard's nose as he was dazed instantly, unable to keep his head straight as he whimpered
"Pa...Pl-pleasssse"
He cried while his attacker pulls a throwing knife from his boot, kneeling beside someone as pathetic as Lenard Droal, someone who kills without seeing his work through and hides behind these walls of fiction to avoid reality. Staying true to who you are from the very beginning is how a fella like himself finds peace, craving their goals as if their lives depended on it....

Juggling and Changing your beliefs left and right will leave your mind boggled and confused- till you're nothing but a lost, enraged, and truly insane.

"Change...you say that so loosely...like it's easy for me to take you seriously"
Vincent grumbled, simply baffled himself at how much cowardice Lenard had even after doing something so horrible. The grey clad male kept his mind set on keeping his brother safe and making sure no harm ever fell upon him
Unfortunately
there was always that fear that maybe he and Denzel were too much alike. The younger male took the older rodent by the mouth, pushing him up against wall while bringing the blade to the neck
"No, you don't get to-"

"Jesus, Vinny just kill em already"

A familiar voice broke through the sound of those dazed cries from the capybara- making him look up to his right; his only brother.

"Denzel?"
Standing up and then looking at the bloody mess of his prey, that was still kicking by the way, He glared at his brother this time grunting as he approached him. The two staring each other down like they always did before their bickering begun.

They're so much alike

Chapter 9:
"Hereditary"
October 29th 1901

Kicking open the door while a young boy carries a cooking pot into his humble home, the little rascal that lived with him rushed over and hugged his brother's leg
"I haven't even closed the door yet, Denzel"
The tallest lad chuckles while trying to walk past, his hands preoccupied, getting a warm smile from him as his special set of eyes made Vincent even more happy to hand over the treat he got for them.
"So lookie here, I got us some chicken and apples from Ms. Klowd, the fair lady sent you her greetings by the way and you'll never guess what I'm gonna be doing there now"

Denzel hadn't taken his eyes off his brother as he spoke so Vincent placed the pot down after closing the door then sat on the ground with Denzel beside him. The one sided conversation became apparent and Vincent noticed as he was talking and hadn't heard his sibling utter a word
"Hey Denzel, you okay bud?"

"Mm-hm, I'm just listening~ I think it's so cool that you get to ride the horses and help the dog herd sheep...even feeding the cattle sounds way better than whatever I do here"
The little munk smiles nonchalantly, as if he was fine with being here all day, but Vincent sighs out a response
"Well.. I wouldn't have had to keep you here if you behaved, last time you tried to steal a horse and the law told me next time they wouldn't be so kind as to bring you home to me"

Denzel's eyes grew saddened as he remembered the worry that was displayed on Vincent's face that day
"I know I know, I'll do better, I promise"

Vincent pats his brother's shoulder with a confident smile
"Don't sweat it boy, that boldness might take you somewhere one of these days but we gotta stick together, can't do that if one of us is in jail"
