Chapter 24
"Prized Idiots"
February 2nd 1909
{Komodo, Tabby Manor}
[Vincent B Smith]

[So as luck would have it, Im reunited with my family at the cost of yet again getting myself wrapped up in another situation caused by my kid brother's wicked ambitions. Rob the richest assholes in the county using the law and other low lives, it's actually quite bold and just goes to show that all my efforts before in trying to steer him clear were falling on deaf ears-he's unfortunately too much like me and frankly haint no point in changing em. So I decided to oversee this operation by getting close to Nissi again and being her right hand in anything she needed, anything to get my mind off my parents. She made it abundantly clear that she had been working with Denzel on this for some time, she questioned me countless of times on what made him into what he is, questioned what made us leave Valentine, among other things. I told the truth for some, lied for others-I care deeply for her but I can't forget that she works for the same people I despise most in this world]

Nissi knocks on the front door of the Tabby manor, stepping off the porch to converse privately with the man that accompanied her. Vincent Benjamin Smith, for the first time since their meeting yesterday-decided to bring up talks he had with Malik since discovering that the boy was another sibling of his.
"The boy has given me dates, he was born two days before Denzel's third birthday and has mentioned my parents by name...you watched how we lived for some time before you left, you're okay with letting them get away with abandoning us like that?"

"Look Benny, it's not that I don't believe you-it's just that I can't go arresting folks over something with no actual proof"

"What kind of proof do you need other than me, exactly? Don't tell me that badge actually has made you duller, cookie?"
Vincent was annoyed because he disliked the law in general for their lack of due justice- the fact that it's his longtime friend behind the wheel of such a deluded system was even more infuriating.

"I want to help you, come on now, I'm here and ain't I helping your brother, keeping him safe and out of jail even though I've caught breaking countless laws? You roll up in town in such a hurry-hesitatin' to stick around even after us not seeing each other in so long"
Nissi crossed her arms and gazed over in the opposite direction
"you're different I-I mean everything is different and I care about Malik-that's why I can't just take the boys folks, it ain't right"
Nissi taps her foot as the door opens to reveal two male tabby cats with rifles in their hands, then Alley walks out with a yawn. The two rodents would have to put their talk on hold-the real issue stood in front of them.

Cats...Vincent liked Mikah and Calico and held them in high regards in his gang because of how efficient and tactical then can be, Mikah's in touch with the wild and knows how to stay alive on his own-most definitely better off alone since worrying about protecting others would get in his way. Calico is extremely deceptive and uses his mastery of the skill to weasel their way out or in any situation they needed and had no problem clearing' a path if things ain't go as planned.

"Sheriff? ain't this a surprise, your not one for visits in the night-normally piss drunk at this hour, what do you want?"

"Alley Qal-Dúval, always a pleasure-boys"
Nissi eyes the two men who don't seem pleased with her either, the manor owner in her fancy cross diamond patterned pajamas-made Nissi glad to have interrupted the slumber of the slimy feline, smirking as she continued
"I'm sure Mikah has confided in you about our temporary partnership-"

"Of course, boy speaks very vibrantly about the changes he wishes to make here...how convenient for you of course, who's your friend?"
Alley finally taking notice of the unfamiliar character who didn't seem to be an oficial of the law. The lady rodent however doesn't allow the cat to drive the conversation and snaps her fingers
